We were chosen "Family of the Day!"

We arrived about 8:20, picked up our 1 day 2-park pass and our express pass tix at WILL CALL and stood in line for entrance. I asked the nice Universal employee about the Mummy ride and a few minutes later - she said, "How would you like to be the family of the day?" I had no idea what that was...but it sounded good to me~! We were the first entrants into the park - rode Jimmy Neutron solo...had our picture taken on the main drag (tab picked up by guest svcs.) and were given a big shopping spree in the universal store...about $300 worth of merchandise!....We could have participated in a parade if we wanted to (but our 1 day 2-park itinerary made this tough) and she gave us 5 front of the line passes! What a blessing! I MUST tell you that this experience combined with Lots of other things has made me a Universal/IOA convert....Disney's fun but US/IOA is the bomb! WHAT A DAY!

isn't it nice to be made to feel like a "VIP" !!!

we were the "official" family to open Animal Kingdom last year- we got to enter the park first and received a private safari ride and a certificate that stated we were the first family to open the park for that day
BUT.... didn't get all the extra stuff you did!
