We went Soarin

6 times and it was great. The AP preview was on and there were only a few people on the morning that we went. I really like this ride. Any questions?Also saw Crush and it is adorable. The adults like it just as much as the kids.Stitch was a real downer, I would"nt go again and waste the time takes to get in.The stunt show at MGM wasn't up and running the day we were there, but it is a big grandstand.

She should love it. The kids when we were there were around 2 to 11 years, they sir on the floor at the front to ask Crush questions the older kids st with the adults on benches.Dory turned up in it.

DD would kill me if she knew I was posting but she is 13 now and still wants to go see Crush! And now since they have added Dory!

Would you mind describing the Soarin experience? Not moment for moment but just a general overview?Along with all the positive notes about Crush,my kids loved the Crush attraction sooo muuuch, it actually made up for how dissapointing the Stitch attraction was! It is very cool how they do the animation in sync with the words, the performer must be wearing some sort of animation mask that feeds back when to move his lips. It is so great.

Its a long walk through to the entrance to the ride . The CM takes you down a passage way to the loading area. There are 3 lanes to line up in. Then you go into the theatre and strap into your seat. Liftoff is cool . there are 3 levels of height. I think it is 40 ,30 ,20 feet in the air and then you start Soarin It is reall y a great ride, takes about 4-5 mins.Each level has its own pluses so if you can try all 3.We were trying to figure out how Crush worked but I'm not sure.It blows Stitch out of the water.

We've just returned and also tried soarin - wow it was the best ride I have been on in a long time.

My favourite parts where when you were "flying" over the orange and pine fields and it smelled like orange and pine trees - at one point you felt like you could touch the ocean with your feet. It was fabulous!! Certainly a highlight for us on our trip.

My 78 year old father in law who is afraid of heights also went on it and loved it as did my 6 year old daughter.

This is certainly a "don't miss experience at Epcot"

The talk with Crush was cool too - My DH figured out that there iare two small windows facing the audience to which the person who is Crush can view the audience and is therefore able to communicate with them. Each show is different - we saw it twice - once Dori came and interacted as well - the kids loved it.

Hi: Soarin sounds really fun. Can you tell me if any part of it is at all claustrophobic? Also there are three of us who suffer from motion sickness, are there alot of ocean scenes with boats floating around. The universe of energy gets us sick looking at the huge screen witih the ocean liner and the ocean. Is it kinda like the peterpan ride? Thanks,

They do caution about motion sickness - and although I don't suffer from that personally, both my 78 year old father in law and my 6 year old does as well. FIL is also afraid of heights- Both loved it - grandpa started out with squinted eyes.

There are a few scenes with water and it does appear very real- maybe taking gravol before you go is a good thing if you are very sensitive. I wouldn't miss this ride - it really feels like you are sky diving.

The CM reported that a 93 year old woman was on the ride the week prior to us and she apparently usually suffers from motion sickness. According to the CM she was just fine and had no problem.

Hope you venture on the ride and try it out.

I am wondering how the seating is, because I am afraid I may feel like I'm going to fall out . I don't have motion sickness really, but once when I went on a ski lift I had a bit of a panic and had this very strong urge to jump off! Then, knowing it was just bit unreasonable (!) I concentrated on talking to my friend who was riding with me and the nervousness just went away. Now I am really excited to ride Soarin but I think I would feel better if there was a over head harness. Seatbelts just seem so flimsy! Can you tell me if the seats tip forward at all so that it might feel as if you are slipping? I know it all sounds a bit nuts but, well, I guess I am just a little bit nutty!
