Not far, just the next town over... Lake Alfred. We continue to be on the lookout for good fishing spots. First we went to the ultimate tackle shop. Holy smokes, this place had everything. I think it was called Ron's Bait and Tackle. Besides more fishing equipment than I've ever seen in one spot, they also had antique fishing gear which was really fun to see.
Then we were off to see Swoop Lake which has a nice little park and fishing pier and Lake Alfred, bigger but not as well kept.
On the way home we turned into an area they're developing for houses. Right now it's just all cleared land but when it's done it will be like a small city. On one side some of the lots come right up against Lake Alfred and on the other they abut another lake located in our town called Lake Van.
At the very end of this huge area is a palm tree farm.

Then on the way home I saw a nesting Osprey. He/she wasn't happy with my trespassing and flew off yelling just after I took this photo.
25 degrees this morning and in the low 60's this afternoon. Just another reason I love Florida.
