We want to do it all over again - minus the trip to the hospital! *COMPLETE*

Sounds like a great plan! You are going to have a lot of fun and you have a lot of "next times" to make up for!

Oh trust me... I will make sure I will scratch them out of my list. ;)

Your plans look great! I don't see much overlap between our days except on Sat. I am hoping to get to EPCOT that day but since we will arrive that day it will depend on how the day has gone so far. If I get my way we will be eating fish and chips for lunch too. If my family has there way we will eat at WL and lounge by the pool all day.

Weigh in was okay. I lost a little over 2lbs. Good I guess, but usually the first week is more. I guess since I have been eating less and a bit more healthy for the past few months there wasn't suge a big loss. Oh well, I'll take it.

I know. :( I noticed we won't be crossing paths ... Maybe at Epcot?

That is great about your weight loss. Even when I don't lose much I remind myseld that a loss is better than a gain.

Now I have been looking at the Disney menus to see how I am going to be able to accommodate my new dietary "need" during my trip. :lmao:

Still trying to figure out how the pregnancy will affect our trip but we could not be more excited. ;)

Q

CONGRATS :) :) :) That is sooooo exciting! You should buy your baby non gender specific disney stuff while your down there. Do you have a gender preference?

Pop looks like so much fun. I am going to try to at least visit this trip.

I stayed at pop my last trip and absolutely loved it! It is defintely worth a visit. I love exploring all the statues surrounding the different decades and we happened t notice them starting to build the art of animation resort as an added bonus! I loved staying there!

WOO-HOO!!! :woohoo:

I am so happy to hear your news!!! How far along will you be during your trip? How did you feel when you were expecting Beatriz?

If you take it easy and listen to your body, you will have a spectacular trip full of extra doses of magic!!!

CONGRATS QUEILA AND FAMILY!!!!

Very exciting news!! Make sure you take it easy and drink LOTS of water in that Orlando heat and humidity. :thumbsup2

OMG!!!!

:banana::banana::banana:

Congrats!!!!!

That is so exciting!!!

:woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay:

Thanks!! :) No more WW's for me though... :(

Jumping in to read!

CONGRATS!!!!!!!! That's so exciting! :goodvibes

Thanks and hope you stick around.

I know! I will most definitely try to shop a bit for the baby even though it is not always easy to find gender neutral things in the parks. I do not have a preference at all!! I think I am in a win- win situation right now.

I am sure we are going to enjoy ourselves. The oversized icons are sure to be fun specially for Beatriz. In which decade did you stay? Do you have any recommendation?

Thanks Dee. According to my calculations I will be around 10 weeks by the time of the trip. I had a very easy pregnancy with Beatriz and did not feel sick AT ALL. So far things seem to be the same with this pregnancy too. Apart from an urge to go to the bathroom more often and tenderness in the breasts I o not feel a thing. Still a little nervous, hoping everything is ok but I ill see my doctor before the trip sp hopefully by then I will be more confident about the whole thing.

Thats awsome!! Congrats.

Thank you!

THANK YOU! We are very excited to see the family growing. The good thing is we really wanted to take it easy during this trip with a lot of time aside to rest and to swim so I guess now these things will be mandatory! :rotfl2:

Planning for May, 12th 2011- Thursday

Arrival in Orlando at noon.

Hello Pop!

Front+of+Pop.jpg

Checking in. Last year we did the on line check in from home and things worked out beautifully so we will probably try that again.

On our last trip we ended up being too tired to stay at Magic Kingdom for the evening entertainment so my main goal for this first day is to see the Spectromagic parade and Wishes. However, in order for that to happen we all need to be well rested. So as soon as we check-in and eat something at Pop I will try to enforce some quiet time.

Close the blinds, lie in bed and take a nap, even if it is just for 45 minutes.

do-not-disturb-sleeping-mouse.jpg

Then we will head to the park for the evening. The goal is to do a couple of rides at Tomorrowland (Indy raceway, Buzzlightyear, Monsters Inc and Carrousel of Progress if we have time to spare), eat at Cosmic Ray and maybe try the new meet and greet with Mickey Mouse.

DSC_0283.jpg

The choice of eating at Cosmic Ray was not an easy one. I really wanted to try Columbia Harbor House. However, when I was checking their menu i noticed that even though the stuff in their menu seems to be delicious it also appears to be mainly deep fried and the new health conscious me is going to try to stay away from that. At least on the first day.

The chicken meal at CR seems appetizing and we can always remove the fatty skin, skip the mashed potatoes and ask for some extra veggies:

Cosmic-Rays-ribs-and-chicken.jpg

We could always go back to Pecos Bill but I have this thing that I do not like to do repeats so Cosmic Ray seemed like a good option. I have heard that it can be a mad house in there sometimes though. So the back up plan is the Main Street Bakery. I am sure we can get a nice little super there too. They seem to have some really yummy sandwiches on their menu and I am sure we will find something special for a desert.;)

And then we will try to find a spot to enjoy Wishes.

As you can see, no seat down meal for us on the first day. Just easing ourselves into our week!

Sounds like a nice plan for your travel day. I hope you can all get your power naps in!

Cosmic Rays will be nice since it is right near the attractions you are planning on doing. And that roasted chicken is an excellent choice- there really is enough food for two (or mom, Beatriz and baby)... But I don't know if you want to totally discount Columbia Harbor House yet.

Do you like hummus? They have the lighthouse sandwich which is hummus with veggies on whole grain bread. There is also a very yummy tuna sandwich, but I can't remember if tuna is a no-no when you are pregnant (it's been a LONG time for me) or maybe you are trying to be good and avoid the mayo.

Either way, you can't go wrong!

Thanks Dee. I will consider heading to CHH in case Cosmic Ray turns out to be super crowded or something. The hummus sandwich sounds VERY appealing. ;)

Planning for Friday- May 13th

May 13th will be the 11th anniversary of the day I first met my husband. It always puts a smile on my face to think of that day. :teeth:

This time we will hit DHS in the beginning of our trip. Last year we were running out of stamina by the time we visited the park so we will try to give it a fair attempt to be conquered.

First order of the day:

tsm3.jpg

Then...

playhousedisneylive.jpg

My husband never ever saw the Indiana Jones show so we will have to correct it this time. I will make sure we catch one the first shows of the day:

Indiana-Jones.jpg

And then there's of course:

3061577207_4565e04bca.jpg

And...
VOYMER_1_998.jpg

These two princess shows were Beatriz' favorites last year but I will probably end up making one or the other this time unless we have time to spare.

And then there is Joey's very favorite:
muppet-show-disney-3d-300x199.jpg

And I wouldn't mind doing this one. It's been so many years...

backtour_1_998.jpg

As for the "grown up" rides it looks like we will stay away from them... and I guess if we need a break we can always go here:

3255096.jpg

And if Beatriz needs to blow some steam we can always head here:

Honey-I-Shrunk-Set.jpg

We have never been to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground before but I guess she is on the perfect age now. My fear is bringing her there and not being able to take her out of there. EVER.

And hopefully we will be able to keep her awake for the parade. Apparently it is a new one... :woohoo:

I will also try to check the Star Tours new ride. I know it is not supposed to be opened yet but who knows... maybe they will be running some test drives and we will be able to take a peak at something.. :confused3

On to the food:
Lunch will be again at Starring Rolls (hopefully with no rain) and I already know what I am having for dessert:

red-velvet-cupcake-in-store-300x449.jpg

Super will be at Kouzzina so we will take the boat to the Boardwalk. I LOVE fish so I am a bit torn between this baby:

dinner-at-kouzzina-04.jpg

And the fisherman's stew:
dinner-at-kouzzina-06-cropped.jpg

I wanted to order one dish and make Joey to order the other but he is determined to have some lamb.

After super I am looking forward to walking around the Boardwalk. I have never been there and I am sure we will enjoy a leisurely walk after our meal.

Then it is back to the hotel. We will try to go back to DHS at another night for Fantasmic!

I was behind a few updates and had to get caught up again. First off, CONGRATULATIONS! on the pregnancy.

Now back to the other stuff....sounds like your trip to Knoxville was fun. Knoxville is where my daughter will be living after she gets married in August.
The snow pictures made me shiver! We very rarely have snow and if we do, it may be a couple of inches.

Yay for booking a trip to Disney in May. Your plans look great!

Your DHS day looks great! That red velvet cupcake is on my list too.

I always try to get DH to order something that I want so that I can try two menus items. Kouzinna looks interesting. We don't eat much on the menu there but I would like to try the breakfast one day.

I love the Muppet show and can't wait to see the Beauty and the Beast show next month.

Although I am sure Beatriz will enjoy the playground I doubt you'll have a hard time pulling her away. It gets kind of hot and crowded sometimes.

Your plans for your DHS day look great!!! Lots of family fun. Toy Story Mania is probably the only thing you will have much of a wait for, get FP if possible can so you can do this twice.

Try to get the showtimes for Indiana Jones and Beauty and the Beast a week before you go. I think the two shows run at the same times, so you will want to have an idea of when you want to see each show.

Here is the site where you can get showtimes: www.wdwent.com

I am very jealous of your reservation at Kouzzina. Greek/Mediterannean food is my favorite! I wanted to go here on our arrival night last year, but the guys wanted Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club, which was also a good choice.

Can't wait to her what you think about it.

Thanks. My sister likes Knoxville a lot and I hope your daughter will too. Are you going to be very far froom her? I moved across the continent after I got married and I miss my mom a lot. :(

Doesn't that cupcake looks amazing??? I cannot wait to sink my teeth on one of them and I do not even want to know how many points are in it. :rotfl:

Hey Queila! I would go with the fisherman's stew, it looks awesome!

It does look yummy... I guess I will decide it on the spot!

Thanks for the tip for the showtimes. :thumbsup2
Kouzzina was on my list since my last trip. I think I gave it up for Sanaa since the location was more convenient for us and we did not regret it. Sanaa was wonderful and I recommend it to everyone but man oh man I am ready for some Greek yummyness! ;)

Planning for Saturday, May 14th 2011

This will be the day reserved to go to Epcot to enjoy the Flower and Garden Festival. I am so happy I will finally be able to visit Epcot during the festival!!! :) It is one of the things I get to scratch off my "Disney bucket list".

Epcot_Flower__Garden_Festival_.jpg

What is in YOUR Disney bucket list, BTW? Mine include things like running the princess marathon and doing the scavenger hunt.

We do not have much planned for this day when it comes to the regular rides except to ride this one with Beatriz:

Orl-EPCOT-Seas-Nemo.jpg

And, of course, my favorite one. We will probably need to use a swap pass here because I do not believe Beatriz is tall enough yet.

soarin.jpg

The rest of the time will be spent exploring the Festival attractions. We plan to go back to Epcot at the end of the week after the Festival is over so all the other "rides" can wait.

Apparently this will be a Pixar weekend a Epcot and I have read rumors around here about rare appearances of tons of cool characters from Pixar movies like Up, Monsters Inc., Toy Story, Ratatouille and Cars 2 so I KNOW this day will turn into a character hunt which I do not mind at all.

We are on the process of making a new autograph book and I just hope Beatriz wil be less afraid this time. We have been working on her convincing her that she is a "big girl" now but we'll see how she reacts when we get there.

What about the food?

Well, lunch will be either the famous fish & Chips at England...

WorldShowcase-053.JPG

...or we might just go for something a little healthier at Tangerine Cafe.

IMG_1738chickenandlambshawarmaplatt.jpg

I have eaten at TC before and I LOVED IT but I am really leaning towards the fish & chips now. You know, to try something new so... we'll see. I know it is deep fried but hey... I girl have to indulge sometime!

For dinner we have reservations at San Angel Inn. :woohoo: On my last trip I gave up my ADR here for the sake of the princesses at Akershus but I won't let the opportunity escape me twice.

san-angel-inn.jpg

This restaurant falls in the same category of Coral Reef for me. I do not care what they serve me I just want to eat there. I had always had a fantasy of eating inside the aquarium at Coral Reef and that dream came true in 2010 (the food was not bad either) and now it is the time for San Angel Inn.

There was never a time I went inside the Mexican pavillon that I did not wish I could just seat and eat there. It just looks so cool and romantic. I am sure we will enjoy the food too. ;) For dessert I am willing to try the churros. Let's hope they live up to my expectations! :rolleyes1
