We want to do it all over again - minus the trip to the hospital! *COMPLETE*

Girl, I've been busy & out of the loop. I can't believe I've missed so much!!

1st -

CONGRATULATIONS!! on your baby news! I am so happy for you!

2nd -
Congratulations on your upcoming trip. I think Beatriz will love staying at POP. It looks so kid friendly, I would love to stay there one day.

Your plans look great so far. We had a hard time getting Lexi & Levi to leave the It's Tough to be a Bug playground. They really liked it.

Running the Princess Marathon is on my Bucket List. I would also like to go during Oct. to attend the Halloween party and Food and Wine. DH doesn't want to go back for a few years so my plan is to try to do the marathon in 2013 or 14, bring the family in Feb/March (whenever they have the race that year), get APs and use them to do a long weekend in Oct and Dec to see the xmas decorations.

We'll see how well that plays out.

We will be in ECPOT that Sat. too. We dropped Via Napoli for Garden Grill, which I am a bit nervous about. We just want to see Chip and Dale, and Mickey in his farmer outfit. The food comes second. Plus there is always CS in WS if we get hungry.

Our trips are getting so close! I can't wait!!!!

Good morning! I just read through your trip report last night (we had tornados here so was trapped in the basement so I had to escape to Disney!). Then I finished up your PTR this morning. We are gonna be at DHS at the same time, I think! But while it if your first full day in Disney - it is our last! Sigh.... Maybe we will run into each other at starring rolls!

I love Morocco food - it is so different from the usual counter services (we get the counter service meal plan...there is just too much to do at disney to sit down and eat! :rotfl:) and they have "normal" kid food.

CONGRATS on your pregnancy! After we get back from Disney we will be trying for our 3rd - hopefully a girl that will love the princesses! :thumbsup2

I am also thinking of joining WW while I loose weight while trying to get pregnant!

And I noticed you are going to take the back lot tour - just know if it has been awhile they have shortened it quite a bit. I was disappointed last time I went cuz I didn't know!

And just so we know, I LOVE Brasil!!! We had a foreign exchange student from there when I was in 5th grade. When I was a senior in HS, we went down there to visit. We went to Sao Paulo and Piracicaba. I now talk to my "brother" and his wife on facebook often. I am trying to convince them to come to DW with us, but I think it is too late now to plan an international trip for them! Maybe next time!

Thanks. My sister likes Knoxville a lot and I hope your daughter will too. Are you going to be very far froom her? I moved across the continent after I got married and I miss my mom a lot. :(

We will be about 600 miles from one another which is better than an entire continent. I know that we are going to miss her terribly.

Queila this day sounds awesome! You're going to enjoy the Flower and Garden Festival so much! But, you better have the fish and chips for lunch! trust me it's worth it, your on vacation, no need to count points!

Just read your trip report from 5/10! Loved it. Now i'm reading your PTR for 5/11. I will be there at the same time and staying at POP tool!!! My DM,DS and I are going 5/15-5/20. Hoping to catch the last day of PIxar Weekend!!! I'll keep my eyes open for your adorable little one! 3 MORE WEEKS!

So before I go any further I have some sad news to share.

Unfortunately I miscarried last week. I was 6 weeks pregnant when I woke up one morning, went to the bathroom and found blood on the toilet paper. I called my doctor, went for an ultrasound and was told I had a 50% chance of keeping the baby. I went back home, tried to rest but the cramps started. A couple of hours later I had what I call a "mini labour" in my bath tub (sorry if this is too much info).

It is amazing how one can go from such a great high to such a deep low in so little time. :) We really wanted that baby and had allowed ourselves to start making great plans for the months and years ahead. And then I had to explain to my three year old that the baby that was in my belly is gone. :guilty: It pretty much breaks your heart.

Aside from the DIS boards I hadn't made any announcements yet so at least I got spared from owning everybody else an explanation.

I know things like this happen all the time and I know our time will come. In the meantime, I am healing. Physically and Emotionally. More than ever I am looking forward to our Disney trip.

My happy place :)

Oh no! I am SO SORRY! That is horrible. Nothing can take away the pain but at least you have something like Disney to throw yourself.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I suffered a miscarriage with our first child. I found out that I was pregnant one day and lost it the next. I know the pain you are feeling.

I will hold you and your family in my prayers.

I am sure we will have a great time at Pop too. If anything it seems to be super kid friendly and I know Beatriz wil get a kick out of the oversized characters. :rotfl:

Your plans sound fantastic. I have no idea when I would be able to run the marathon but it might come sooner than later.

My sister ate at Garden Grill and they lOVED the food. And my BIL is quite a picky eater so I am sure you guys have nothing to worry about. And I have heard the character interaction is great too.

I cannot wait! We will be at Disney in 3 weeks! The weather here has been very blah so this tip cannot come any sooner.

Hello and :welcome:
I am glad my TR kept your mind at Disney during the tornado warning. That must be scary!

So maybe we will cross each other at DHS or at the hotel, huh? If you see us please come and say hello. I will be on the look out for you too. ;) I should be very easy to recognize at Starring Rolls... just look for the one drooling over her cupcake.

I recommend WW's to everyone with no reservations. I am total convert and I believe in their plan. If you have the chance just do it. You will not regret it.

Thanks for the tip on the Backlot tour. It has been so many years I am not even sure I know what to expect. :thumbsup2

And that is so cool about your Brazilian connection!! :yay: I am from Sao Paulo but I have never been to Piracicaba. Shame on me, I know. I love their accent though. Very cute. What did you guys visit in SP? Were you able to pick up some Portuguese? What do you remember most from your trip? Did you like the food? That is too bad they cannot come and meet you at WDW. You know how Brazilians LOVE some Disney too ;)

Queila this day sounds awesome! You're going to enjoy the Flower and Garden Festival so much! But, you better have the fish and chips for lunch! trust me it's worth it, your on vacation, no need to count points!

Thanks Ariel 333! ;) To tell you the truth the fish & chips don't LOOK as appealing to me but I am sure they taste awesome. I guess if it is a very hot day I am going to HAVE to have it with some nice, cold beer. Hey... might as well...:lmao:

Hello and :welcome: Please if you see us don't be shy and come say "hi". :) Can you believe we are only 3 weeks away? Have you started packing already? I am itching to go get my suitcases already.

Oh no! I am SO SORRY! That is horrible. Nothing can take away the pain but at least you have something like Disney to throw yourself.

Thanks. Keeping myseld busy with our planning is surely helping to get my mind off negative things. ;)

We are use to tornados here in tornado ally, but this one was a bit too close for comfort! So it did get a bit scary for me.

We only went to Piracicaba because that is where my "brother" went to dental school and he was graduating. It was beautiful though, SO beautiful! We didn't visit any places as we were there to see them and go to his graduation - which was quiet the ordeal! We partied so hard I did nerve damage to my toes and couldn't feel them for 6 months afterwords! lol! I knew a few words while down there but not too much. I have forgotten it by now. I know a bit of spanish, but once again not much!

What I remember most is just the people! They were so, so, so nice and welcoming. They wanted to talk to me even though we had the language barrier. They wanted to hear English, the wanted to hear me speak Portuguese. It was so awesome. When I left each of his roommates went and got me a CD and signed it because they taught me all the dance moves. I can't remember much of them now - but there was one that you were driving and you honked the horn...that's all I can remember though!

The most memorable food experience was walking down the street to buy bread from a bakery and having sandwiches for breakfast! lol. I thought that was so weird.

I really wish I could back. I just really did love it! It came at such a pivotal time in my life as well and really brought me back from a bad place. Maybe next time I will plan a bit better so they could maybe come. It seems like they are quiet the world travelers!

I just want to say that I'm very sorry for your family's loss. I'm sure B will make a great big sister when the time is right.

Queila- there are no words to say how sorry I am to hear about your loss. My heart goes out to you, your husband and to Beatriz.

I am so glad that you have the planning for your trip to focus on.

Hugs- Dee

I LOVED reading about your experience in Brazil. I am so happy you have great memories from the time spent there. I also graduated from dental school and I know how hard we can dance in those graduation parties. I finished dental school in 1999 but I did my studies in Sao Paulo. I do not practice as a dentist here in Canada though. Maybe one day...

I think I just might know the song you are referring too. :banana:Which year did you go? Was that late 90's? At that time everybody was obsessed with songs with silly choreographies. Does THAT ring a bell??

And I also had a bakery (padaria) right across the street from the condo building where I grew up. When I moved here I found egss and bacon a very odd choice for breakfast.

Oh man... this talk is making me feel so homesick!

Thanks every one for your warm thoughts!:flower3:

We are feeling much better and highly anticipating our trip to WDW. :)

Sorry to hear about your loss, I don't know much about that kind of stuff but I do know how sad you must be. Hopefully your trip to disney will be exactly the pick-me-up you need. I am thinking of all three of you as well. I never realized how popular a time may is for disney trips. I always thought it would be fairly empty because schools in the Chicagoland area get out in early june typically. I always have wanted to go there in May though because my birthday is in early May but have never been able to go there for my actual birthday since I have always had to prepare for all of my end-of-the year stuff that happens in mid-may and this year I have to begin studying for finals around then :(. We were going to to go in later may this year because my last day is may 20th (a lot earlier than i'm use to) but we ulitmately decided against it.

Planning for Sunday May, 15th, 2011

So I learned from past trips that at about this point in our trip we will be ready for a break from the theme parks.

So the plan is to really get into "vacation mode", sleep in and just let the day happen. :) Here is what might happen:

Option #1:

Nice, big breakfast at Pop and then...

typhoon-lagoon.jpg

If it is extremely hot and we are desperate for a day by the pool we will head to Typhoon Lagoon. Apparently they have a great play area for small kids over there and Joey wants to swim with the sharks. :scared1:

ketchakiddee-creek.jpg

We will not purchase the water park add-on since we will only visit a WP once. The plan is to purchase the admission on the spot so we have to chose a great day to use it.

Any suggestions for lunch at Typhoon Lagoon? We will probably try to make a meal out of snack credits.

Then it is back to the hotel for a nap and get ready for the evening.

Option #2:

In case the weather is not WP worthy we will have a small breakfast in our room and head to DTD for some sight seeing and shopping. We have spent very little time at DTD on previous trips and I want to give it a shot.

Lunch will be a toss between Earl of Sandwich (we really loved their sandwiches last year) or Wolfgang Puck (apparently they have some great pasta).

AND ... we are dying to visit Goofy's Candy Shop. We just might skip lunch altogether and stuff our faces over there. :rotfl:

Then it is back to the hotel for maybe a quick swim, a nap and getting ready for the evening.

The evening:
Dress up for our dinner at JIKO!! :woohoo:

JIKO_1_998.jpg

I knew from the start that I wanted to try a signature restaurant this time. I wasn't sure between California Grill and Jiko but decided to save CG for the day we stay at the Bay Lake Tower. ;) Going to Jiko will also afford us an opportunity to visit our beloved Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Apparently changes have been made on the menu but hopefully I will still be able to order this:

After our meal we will try to hop on the bus to DHS to catch Fantasmic!

The plan is to be well rested and well fed so we gather the courage to face the crowd at DHS for the show.

All I can promise is that I will give it my best shot! :rolleyes1
