Time for one more review before the kids all get home from school and I start the dinner/homework/bath nightly routine.
We had a few minutes before the fireworks started and found ourselves on Main Street. I decided we could afford to burn snack credits (we only had 36of them left
) and we headed to Main Street Bakery.
DD and I tried to go here last year on our MVMCP day and they were already closed. Thankfully, we were early enough this day to get in, and there was hardly anyone else in, and no one in line. We all got bottled waters with a snack credit as well.
DS opted for, what else for a 5 year old boy, an eyeball cupcake. This was after he had already eaten the big chocolate chip eyeball.
DD ordered a chocolate muffin. We didn't realize until we were checking out that it was sugar free. It was not marked on the inside counter very well, but we were assured it was sugar free - they even offered to let her exchange it but she said no. She eats sugar free at my ILs house because they are both diabetic. She LOVED the muffin and ate it all. I tried a bite and it was good.
We sat outside at the tables and looked at people walking by in their costumes. When we were done eating, it was an easy walk up Main Street to the hub for Hallowishes.
I got the ice cream cookie sandwich. That thing was a monster! I peeled off one cookie and wrapped it in napkins and put it in my bag in a Ziploc, and we ate it later in the week. I still couldn't finish the one cookie and ice cream
