We Stuffed our Faces and Searched for the Tronorail, It's Trip Report Time! *11/3

Really enjoying your trip report!:thumbsup2

I loved the pictures of the view from your room - and the pictures from inside your room too.

We love Columbia Harbor House too!:lovestruc

Okay--I am caught up. I really love your view of MK from your room. I think my husband would stay there all the time if he stayed in BLT.

I see why you did not do Dumbo--it's hard to do Dumbo unless you are there in either the first or last 10 minutes of the park day.

Great updates! Looking forward to more!

Wow, you guys got a lot done!! It looks so fun!! I think it's the coolest thing ever that your son played a game with Stitch....that is definitely a memory to be treasured forever and why I love Disney! How awesome!

I found your TR this morning!! Great updates, love the pictures of BLT...it's gorgeous!!

Can't wait to read more!

I love the view from your room!

I finally rode SM on my last trip in Dec 2008 and for some reason, I can't handle it anymore (getting old, I guess :rotfl2:). I have never been on Stitch ride or People Mover so definitely will have to try both next trip (I loved TSM so Stitch should be fun too).

That was such a neat moment when Stitch raced with your son. These are memories that are more fun!

Oh wow!! How fun that Luke got to race Stitch!! That was awesome that you were all alone in the arcade with him!! And then a free Mario Cart game!! NICE!! I just love eating at CHH for lunch!! We ate there twice this last trip! YUM! So you went to the DIS meet?! I hate that I missed it!

It was pretty cool! Luke loved it! And it was great to get a free Mario Kart game, too! :thumbsup2

Yup, we love CHH, too! We have to go there at least once every trip.

And we missed you at the DIS meet! I told you that I though I saw your family on our way out, didn't I?

WOW, getting to race Stitch sounds like SUCH a magical moment! Haha, the pic of Stitch leaning to the right makes him look a bit more human, but I'm sure that's just my imagination ;)

I don't remember the last time I stood on the standby line for Buzz. That's definitely a FP ride for us, and we do it at least 3x per trip. But that line really did look long! And I LOVE Buzz, but I don't think I could wait in that line that wraps around.

I really like the pic in CHH where you circled Max and Allison waiting in line. It just really says Disney to me! Haha, not just because it's a line, but because it's just not a typical pic and it shows every bit of the Disney experience!

It was a very magical moment for sure! :goodvibes I know how your imagination is, so I'm sure that's the reason you think Stitch looks kind of human, either that or he's picking up some of Lilo's mannerisms!

It didn't end up being too bad, but it was still longer than I'd like to wait. But then I really like walking on rides!

Ha ha, Disney sure knows about some lines, though! One year we tried to Fastpass Lights, Motors, Action in HS, but they didn't have the FP machines open that day. It was pretty not-crowded, so we figured that's why they didn't open the FP, so they could create a line!

Oh my goodness.....I am sure that Luke was excited that the got to race Stitch! What a great memory!

You guys are booking it through the park and doing lots of great stuff and all before lunch time too!

I'm sure he was beyond excited. I wish I'd been there to see his face when they first asked him if he wanted to race. It was so much fun!

That is awesome about Luke racing Stitch! I bet it was amusing watching the two of them. What a fun memory. :thumbsup2

Looks like a great day so far!

We were laughing the entire time they were racing! Stitch was really having a hard time keeping his motorcycle on the road...he kept running in the grass and into tress and stuff. The CMs with him decided he needed to stick to driving space ships! But that was OK because Luke is not a good loser!

I am finally all caught up again :thumbsup2. Great view from your room. I would love to wake up and see the monorail every morning.. Great update, looking forward to more :surfweb:.

It doesn't take too long being away to get behind around here, does it?

I did get spoiled to seeing the Monorails passing by like cars outside my window!

Thanks! :goodvibes

Really enjoying your trip report!:thumbsup2

Thanks! :goodvibes

We had a great view. I wish I could look out my window right now and have that view!

CHH is a 'Must Do' for us!

Yay for being caught up! Thanks--it was a really good view!

We completely did not do Dumbo at all this year. I'm kind of bummed about it. :sad2:

Thanks!

We did get a bit done! I thought so too about racing Stitch! I know we'll remember it for a long time. I took pictures plus got parts of it on video! :thumbsup2 Those are the special things about Disney that set it apart for sure!

I found your TR this morning!! Great updates, love the pictures of BLT...it's gorgeous!!

Can't wait to read more!

:welcome:

Thanks! I've got a bit more coming right up...

I love the view from your room!

Aww, that sucks that you can't do SM anymore. You'll definitely have to do those next time. You'll really like the People Mover. When you say Stitch I'm guessing you are talking about Buzz Lightyear? There is a Stitch ride, but Buzz is more similar to TSM and we don't really care for the Stich ride as much. It's in the building that used to have the Alien Encounter. I'd hate for you to go in thinking I've recommended the Stitch ride to you and you be all mad at me when you have to smell those Chili dog burps! :lmao:

It was awesome that he got to have that experience with Stitch!

Thanks for sharing! I am really enjoying your trip report so far! Great pics! :)

Thanks! I'm glad you are! :goodvibes

Love your update B! BLT looks neat. I'm starting to like the looks of it more and more. I have never tried CHH but we may have to give it a shot. The food looks delish.

How fun that Stitch was racing Luke. That doesn't happen every day! :goodvibes

You got a lot done in the first part of your day! Sounds like a lot of fun.

Can't wait to hear about the DIS meet! ;)

When we got to the TTC we were ready for the Tronorail to pull into the station and whisk us away to Epcot.

We got in anyway when Gold arrived.

The Gold monorail delivered us safely to Epcot at 2:20.

Remember, the DIS Meet was at 2:30 in the France Pavillion. We had to hurry!

At 2:30, we were on our way...

When Luke had to stop to tie his shoe!

Good opportunity for a fountain pic, at least!

After getting his shoe tied, we were on our way again.
I had to take a quick picture of our refuge from last year's thunderstorm.

P5220207.jpg

If you read my last TR, 'The Prius and The Poly' you might remember we were caught in a pretty wet & noisy thunderstorm last year while in Epcot and I tried to describe the place where we stood to wait it out. I thought I'd take a picture to show you!

P5220208.jpg

It was a nice little place to wait. Thanks!

Moving on as quickly as we can...I took this picture with France in the distance! We were just at the beginning of World Showcase at 2:35...we're coming, DIS friends!

We booked it through Canada & the UK and around to France. I was thinking we were supposed to meet by the fountain. When we got there I quickly scanned the crowd for familiar faces, but I didn't see anyone I recognized. There was no big group of people milling about near the fountain, either. I took this picture then:

P5220210.jpg

Max & Allison looking for DISers!

We walked the length of the fountain, then turned around and looked some more. I knew we weren't that late, and that we were in the right place, but where was everybody?

Then I spotted them. I was pretty sure I saw Lisa & her DH in a group of people standing just in front of us. We must have walked right by them before! When we walked up I overhead someone, who turned out to be Dana, of course!, saying something about "Dale & Dallas". I recognized her then, and knew I was in the right place! We introduced ourselves all around and chatted for a bit. Mary was there with her family. Leanne & her family were there. Lisa & her DH were there, but her Mama & Hunter had stayed behind at Future World. It was so hot that day, they had decided to move from the fountain area to get out of the sun. Whitney & her DFi (whoa it took me a bit to go back & find you!) came up just after we got there. They had looked around the fountain for us, too! The kids all ran around and got along just great! Leanne & Max ended up going for some slushies. It was the first time I'd had one & it was pretty good! If I'm remembering correctly, Lisa suggested taking a picture of us all. (I think that's why you're not in mine?) If not, then dear Allison cut her out of the picture by mistake. I had her take a picture with my camera so Max & I could both be in it. I don't know where Luke is. And it Looks like only half of me made the picture:

P5220211.jpg

That's most of us, Whitney & her DFi must have left before the picture was taken.

It was great fun getting to meet some of the people I talk to and read all about on here. We missed those of you who couldn't make it! Pretty soon we decided to take off and do some exploring. Allison & Leanne's DD did a quick pin trade before we took off! I was a little slow with the camera:

P5220212.jpg

We hiked ourselves straight over to Japan for Kaki-Goris. It was hot!

We finished up our yummy Kaki-Goris and decided to head back out of Epcot. We had an ADR for Restaurant Marrakesh at 7:25 and we wanted to clean up a bit and cool off beforehand!

P5220221.jpg

Construction in Mexico.

We took our time on the way out and stopped for pictures of the kids beside their Leave a Legacy tile. We do that once a year. Their tile is from 2003, their first trip. It's fun to go back each year and look at how little they were and take a picture of how big they are now!

This whole time we'd been on the lookout for the Tronorail and still had not seen it! Max was beginning to get worried that there was no more Tronorail.

At 4:20 we hopped on a Monorail back to the TTC. At 4:40 we transferred to Monorail Silver to take us to the Contemporary Resort.

P5220222.jpg

When we got there, we headed back to our room to change into our swim suits. It really was a hot day and we wanted to cool off in the pool. Max & I were ready to try out the slide!

Up next, we'll eat some yummy Moroccan food back at Epcot! Will they have our ADR? Will we see the Tronorail?

YAY, caught up on your great TR!!

I've been trying to talk my parents into buying more DVC points at BLT....it's not their style, but I may need to look into our own DVC next summer when we're there......

I love a good Dis-meet, so glad you made it in time! What a great pic of everyone. The heat can be brutal, we have been going in August the past 3 summers and it's HOT!! Great excuse to leave the park and go to the pool for the afternoon, it actually feels more like a relaxing vacation when we do that.

That was a great update!

YAY! Glad you made the DIS meet and had a good time. I hate that we didn't make it back over for that one on the 28th.

I just wanted to say that you are doing SO GOOD at updating this time!! :thumbsup2 Good job! A DisMeet sounds so fun! I've always wanted to do one!! Mmmmm kaki goris look so good!! Are they better than normal slushies? What makes them different? I bet Landon would like them...

Can't wait for more! I can't believe you hadn't seen the tronorail yet and you were staying in a resort where you could see the monorail line! Nuts! I hope you see it soon!

I am always amazed at how long it can take us to get ready in the morning. I always think I am going to have extra time, and I always end up rushing to make it on time. Your morning at MK looked fun. How cool to race Stitch!

The Dis meet looked like fun as well. How cool to meet all of them!

Don't you wish there was a place for DISers to meet in an ACed spot? Hehe. We are some of the biggest fanatics after all!
