I reeallly want to do the Xcaret excursion/port adventure http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/cruises-destinations/shore-excursions/cozumel-mexico/xcaret-eco-archaeological-park/ when we stop in Cozumel, but I am finding that not all Cozumel port times are the same on each cruise, as far as how long the ship is in port. I pulled this from their website for "our" itinerary. Our cruise isnt for another year so the information to book this excursion isnt a definate. Any Ideas? Will 8:15 - 3:45 be enought time to do a 7 - 7.5 hour tour? According to this from our itinerary there is, but that is off the ship first thing and back on just in time. Anyone do Xcaret have a report? Thanks bunches.

Day Port Guest Ashore Guest Onboard
1 Port Canaveral, Florida -- 3:45 p.m.
2 At Sea -- --
3 Cozumel, Mexico 8:15 a.m. 3:45 p.m.
4 Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands* 10:30 a.m. 5:30 p.m.
5 Falmouth, Jamaica 7:30 a.m. 4:45 p.m.
6 At Sea -- --
7 Castaway Cay 8:30 a.m. 4:45 p.m.
8 Port Canaveral, Florida 7:30 a.m.

We have done Xcaret on a trip to Mexico years ago, we LOVED it and would go back in a heartbeat.

I'm interested in this also. I went to this park from Cancun once. Wondering if it's enough time from the ship. Thanks in advance.

If this is an option on your ship's excursion selection, then there is enough time. They will not leave without you if it is through disney.

Just an FYI. This 45 minute ferry ride each way can end up being the real excursion depending on conditions. :lmao:

It looks like it is enough time. Just Barely. I assume that they will run it. In April we will be there with similar timeframe. I talked to DCL and at this point in time they believe that the XPLOR park (also "in" Playa del Carmen) will be offered and it's also 7 - 7/12 hour excursion.

Thanks! This gives me hope that it will be offered.... I looked up other cozumel itineraries and they all seem to be a similar time frame. we went to xcaret when we stayed in cancun an had a blast. I have always wanted to go back, especially with my kids. :)

As long as you go in knowing that you'll never have enough time to do everything you'll be fine. You have to figure that at least 2 if not 3 hours of the 7 are travel and orientation time. Xelha is also a great park that includes food and drink but the same problem with travel time

Now you have me wondering. This is the excursion we were planning to take on the wonder next spring. Our time in port is from 10:45-5:30. That is 6 hours and 45 minutes. Some of the excursions say this is only offered on a certain ship, this is not one of them. Has anyone done this on the wonder or magic?

Now I see it on the website it only says that it will not be available on select wonder cruises out of galveston. I guess everyone else should be fine.
