I would also like to hear some recent experiences/prices and see some yummy pictures. We are going to be there in about 2 1/2 weeks and I was thinking of ordering something special for my family. I know in WDW, they are able to make a small cake that looks like the wedding cake we had at our Disney wedding. Does anyone know if we can get something similar at Disneyland?? Thanks!

I was hoping to see some recent birthday cakes too... I am taking my son for his 1st visit to DL and it's his 9th b-day, (Oct. 28th) We are eating dinner at Goofy's Kitchen, and can't decide to get the pirate chest or order a cake. Please help?

What are the current options for cakes? Are they still only available at the hotel restaurants?

They are supposed to be available at all sit down locations. I have ordered them to Goofy's and Club 33. A friend ordered one to BT Roundup BBQ.

Cakes are usually chocolate and white, centers vary, we generally get the mousse, but there are also fruits, various creams, and the frosting available is usually whipped cream, butter cream, and chocolate ganache.

I found the email for the vacation planning team. Here is the information they sent me. I had asked if cakes were available at the Plaza Inn, Cafe Oreleans and Big Thunder Ranch BBQ since those are the places we will be at for my sister's birthday. They said that cakes be ordered for all of those restaurants. I'm thinking of ordering it for dinner at Big Thunder Ranch so we wouldn't have to carry it around with us all day.

Thought I would share some pictures and my experience with ordering a cake last week.

I decided to order the small princess cake that was supposed to feed 6. I was told the dress part of the princess is really a cupcake intended for the birthday girl. We were a party of 7 and we didn't want to abandon any leftovers.

There was three choices, Cinderella (blue), Belle (yellow), and Aurora (pink). My daughter's favorite wasn't offered so I decided with Aurora since we were at DL (Sleepy Beauty Castle).

It was ordered for our Cafe Orleans dinner. I reminded them at the podium of the cake. It took a lot of hunting around until they found it. I asked for them to bring it at dessert time.

We had a wonderful meal with a fantastic server, Janine! The cake was perfect! Much bigger than I expected. The princess cupcake on top was huge. The cake was moist and delicious. Janine did such a wonderful job getting a candle and lighting it for the birthday song. My daughter was speechless! They even brought out a mickey beignet for her as well.

We cut large pieces, but almost had half a cake left, plus the cupcake. My daughter didn't want to touch it, so Janine boxed it up for us. My husband walked it all back to the hotel.

Well worth the $30 after AP discount!

My husband ordered this cake to be delivered to our room at VGC.

I have no idea what pricing was, but it was a delicious carrot cake with a ton of frosting and Tinker Bell and the flowers were made of sugar. YUM!

They brought it on a cart with everything we'd need to serve our guests:
