We should start a Disneyland Cake Thread

That might be the most random thing I've heard. With all the strollers, backpacks and suitcases rolling through DTD, stop the cake box!

I know we were caught very off guard, but they escorted my uncle (the unfortunate carrier of the cake) out of DTD towards PPH and he had to walk the long way back to our hotel.

We just did this one at Disneyland.

It was the vanilla version of the chocolate one we had made for my older son's fifth birthday at WDW.

I believe the DisneyWorld one was just under $50 pre-tax while the Disneyland one was just under $60 pre-tax.

Okay does anyone know the phone number to call to order the cake?

Can I get such a cake even if I'm staying off site? I'll be at the Fairfield Inn on 9/1 and would love to have a cake like that ready in our room :)

Here is a recent cake we had done by the Disneyland bakery. It was the chocolate cake, with chocolate mousse filling and chocolate mousse frosting. LOVED IT, but maybe a hair too much chocolate... Maybe back to the buttercream frosting next time...

TFS all the wonderful cake photos. We're going in Dec for DS 5'th birthday so it's nice to see what they offer. Does anyone know if you can have it delivered to a restaurant at lunch instead of dinner? I'm thinking it shouldn't matter, but was curious.

Yes, you can even have it for breakfast!

Thank you so much! Last year we bought DD a gorgeous mini-wedding style cake for her 12th birthday surprise trip to WDW. This year we will be in DL for her 13th birthday. I want it to be extra special since she'll be entering the teen years. Thanks so much for all of the wonderful cake ideas.

How far in advance did you order?

Sounds like the cake I ordered but instead I got chocolate ganache.

My Mom still can't believe I took care of all my birthday arrangements this year. I can't wait to try our cake!

They request a week, I have done it on 72 hours notice.

Thank you! I've already told her that DL doesn't do cakes (I really didn't think they did...), so this will be a great surprise for her. Now, I just need to figure out where her birthday dinner will be!

I'm sure this has been said many times, but I don't really want to go back through all the other pages :headache:

What is the smallest size cake you can order, and how much does that cost?

I think the smallest is a 8 inch round, and the last time I got it, it was $32. The 10 in round feeds about 20, and I think it is about $40.
