We were lucky enough to get breakfast at Cinderella's castle last week. I was fantastic. The food was great. The kids ate well and were well behaved and the "wishing ceremony" was perfect.
Our server told us there was going to be "an engagement today". We thought she meant something with the characters, but no, we saw a proposal! A man and a woman, with a lot of family around, got engaged right there in the restaurant. Their server presented the woman with a glass slipper with a ring in it. He asked. She said yes. Lots of family applauding and crying. My own husband was getting teary. Another server was waiting with a specail "glass slipper" dessert. Another server was waiting with two flutes of champagne. A photopass photographer was taking pictures. The whole restaurant applauded.
I turned to my 11-year-old son and said to him, "Now that's how you ask someone to marry you." I hope he remembers.
What a beautiful start to our day.
