Thanks for posting such a great story. It's nice to know that there are some people who will go out of there way to make the kids happy. Because isn't that why we go to WDW to see there little eyes light up when they walk down mainstreet or see Mickey Mouse for the first time. It just makes all the hardships of saving for that perfect trip go away because it is then we know that all the little things we did without to save was well worth it.

My son lost his autograph book on our trip when he was 5. He had had the same book for several years and had just about every character's autograph in it. But what was so bad we didn't even realize we had lost it until we had gotten home and it was in the mailbox. Way to go to the nice lady who found it and mailed it back to my son. Now when we start to leave for that long trip home we always check to make sure we have his autogragh book.

gosh,your story has made me sob buckets.Even though Disney is a business,it is down to the CM who make magic for everybody everyday.I hope that people like Peter go home at night with a smile in their hearts,i'm sure you will remember him forever.

Male character is Japetto from Pinocchio

The cat is from Pinocchio, but can't think of his name at the momment.

Ape next to OP is King Louie from The Jungle Book

Badger next to Minnie is Friar Tuck from Robin Hood

FYI, Gepetto's cat's name is Cleo.

While Geppetto's cat's name is Figaro, the character in the photo is J. Worthington Foulfellow. Geppetto's fish's name is Cleo. Maggie

Thanks for that info, however, Cleo is the fish and Figgario is the cat and he isn't in the picture, it is J. Worthington Foulfellow as noted by Mickeysaver.

What a wonderful story! Thank you so much for sharing it! People don't understand why DH and I return every year to WDW, why we don't go somewhere else instead. My answer has always been we go to our happy place. Maybe I should tell them your story, maybe then they would understand why it is our happy place.

Yeah, it seems like some people just don't "get" Disney World. I always get the "You mean you're going back........AGAIN?" People complain that Disney has no good thrill rides, blah blah blah....but rides aren't why WDW is special. It's stories like these why WDW is special.
