We Ordered Magic Bands But Received Cards Instead

How come we received cards when we ordered magic bands? We will be there in August. Not sure if they send magic bands later, or have we fallen victim to glitchiness?

MB ship about 30 days prior to your check-in date. The cards that you received are your (hard) tickets.

I've never heard of them sending cards at all. My understanding is that if you want the KTTW cards instead of the MBs, that you need to ask at check-in.

Did you order your tickets separately from a package? It is possible they sent you your tickets because they were a separate order.

Your ticker says you are six months out still. You won't get MagicBands until about 28 days out (unless they change the shipping schedule by then)

No not part of a package, and we're less than two months out

We just received our hard tickets for MNSSHP this week. Could it be something like that for you?

Then I bet as mentioned above you've just received the hard tickets. You will get the MagicBands in a few more weeks.

You'll (probably) be able to use EITHER to get in to the parks and utilize FastPass+ selections, so long as they are properly linked.

If you go on MDE and click on 'my magic bands and cards' it will tell you how long you still have left to customize your magic bands. It's about 30 days before your arrival.

Okay, I found out that Disney is sending out cards and then later the magic bands. Like some have said here already, hard tickets. Apparently you have a choice in which ones to use. We got excited about the magic bands and have picked our colors, etc., Just got a little confused when the cards showed up. Our last trip was in 2012 back in the stone age before FP+ and MB Anyway, thanks for all the replies, you guys know more than I do that's for sure
