We now have pneumonia going through my classroom

This has been a long hard winter. 3 kids in 3 weeks have been diagnosed with pneumonia in my classroom

You are so right.

My DS has pnumonia back in October, and has had strep once. Strep is actually on it's third trip through his day care/school. I think we are on borrowed time before it hits him. Fingers crossed that it does not.

Hopefully nice weather will come soon and we can put all these winter "bugs" behind us--for this year anyway. {{{HUGS}}} I know that sick kids are not easy to teach.

We had a bad bout of flu in our schools a few weeks back. So many kids & teachers were out that some school closed for a few days so everyone could get well.

It seems like a million years since I was in elementary school, but I don't remember there being so many serious illnesses back then. Of course, it may just be that senility has set in and I don't remember things as they really were.

I know its been crazy this winter. DD had pnenumonia back in December, DS had it two weeks ago, and I've had one daycare child that has been sick almost non-stop since Christmas with one thing or another. I think she is the one who catches everything and brings it into the house and it doesn't help that she had RSV last year (she was a premie) and Mom smokes like a chimney. Her poor immune system can't keep up with the germs this winter. I should have bought stock in Lysol and antibacterial hand soap. Now on top of all that, I've been fighting something all week. Tired, achy, low grade temp, cough and now my chest hurts.Guess its going to be my turn next
