If anyone has stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and then went to Port of Los Angeles, how did you get to the port from the hotel? What time did you leave? What time did you arrive at the port? How long did it take for you to check in and then get on the ship? If you used a car service, which one did you use and would you recommend it?

I know I'm asking a lot of questions but the cruise is the 13th and the parentals are getting a little nervous about getting to and from the hotel to the port. We have transfers through the cruise line booked, but we don't get the bus until 12:00 and that seems a little late.

Thanks in advance for your help! :earsboy:

We were on the 5/28 and we book Super Shuttle from the Disneyland Hotel to the port. They picked us up a little before nine and we were at the port by 9:40. We had our luggage checked, lots of pictures outdoors and were in line to check in by 10.

We were a group of 4 adults so waiting from 10 on was not a problem. IF you have kids I would advise going a bit later but I agree, 12 seems a little later to me. It cuts into your on board time the first day and there is so much to see.

Super Shuttle was clean, polite and reasonable priced.

Have you tried calling to get an earlier bus? We had friends who were at Disneyland the day before the cruise in June and they got to the port much earlier--around 11 a.m. They told us that when they were at the Disneyland hotel they saw lots of cruisers and apparently, people were signing up for bus times. (At least that's how they explained it to me.) Perhaps you were just assigned a random time by DCL and it can be changed? Others may know better.

The port is 45 minutes from Disneyland, give or take, so noon is not a terrible time. It's just more fun to get on board sooner, if you can. Keep in mind that your cabin won't be available to you until 2 p.m. so you'll be mostly eating and wandering (with any carry-on luggage) if you get on really early. :-)
