We need a new grill (by Saturday!). DH would like to get a Weber. The cheapest Weber I see at Lowe's and Home Depot is $399. I'm not sure of the size and don't know much about gas grills.

Any opinions or advice? (or deals :))

Thanks!!

One word, WEBER! i have had mine for almost 10 years, rebuilt the interior once for around $100. Great value and doe a great job. Well worth the price!

There are 2 webers we're looking at- one is 399 and the other is 499. I'm trying to figure out if the 399 one will be too small. It's hard to do without actually looking at the grill in person.

I just bought the $499 one. I love love love it! Buy it from Home Depot, because they DO have the cast iron grates and the others don't. (I had a 10% off coupon from Lowe's, and Home Depot took it!) I think the smaller one would have been large enough (we're a family of two and sometimes cook for more), but I ended up with the next size one because of the three burners. It will let me try to do indirect grilling, and I am using the grill more.

I did a lot of research when I bought one for dh in May. We ended up with a Brinkman from Walmart. It was one of the best rated large grills and if I recall, came in above Weber. I would ask friends if anyone has a copy of the Consumer Reports, I think it was April or May. Lots of great info.

WEBER!!!! Well worth the money. Ours is ten years old and still going strong. All others are JUNK imo!

Are you a Costco member? We have a Tuscany. Very large, three burners plus infrared cooker and side burner. Comparable Weber's I looked at were over twice the cost. We've had 3 summers now and I'm very pleased with it.

We have a weber genesis. We have had it for 8 years it's really the best.

We have a Weber natural gas grill - best thing I have ever bought. Our old house had the gas line already there when we bought it, and had one installed at our new house by a plumber. To me, that was well worth the cost to do - I never have to buy propane, or store dangerous cans in my garage, or run out in the middle of slow-cooking ribs.

AND we can grill in February!

We have two Weber's and I love-love-love them. One is the classic charcoal and the other is from their Weber Q line, which I believe is priced a little lower than the regular Weber gas grills. The cooking grate is cast iron, so it's a breeze to clean. We have one of the smaller models that uses camping size propane tanks, but I can't wait to upgrade to their largest model.

Also, to add to the Weber love, my uncle has had a Weber propane grill for about 20 years and it is still going strong. You just can't go wrong with Weber!

Weber, Mine is a charcoal one, have had it for over 10 years and love it. I have a gas grill but only use it to hold foods at warm.
