We need a Bachelorette thread!

Okay, seriously...

Did Chris REALLY tell her that she had the "opportunity" to be a HOMEMAKER???? :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Faaaarm living is the life for me!

I couldn't believe he said that! He will be gone for sure. She would never live on a farm and be a homemaker! If she picks Nick though you will hear me scream across the country.

Ava or Zsa Zsa Gabor picking out a Bachelor. Now THAT would be some funny show! :rotfl2: "Daaaawling, you are very handsome, but you have no money in your pockets. And you live on a farm. Sooorry! No rose for YOU!" :p

I've pretty much come to the conclusion that she and Nick deserve each other.

I've pretty much come to the conclusion that she and Nick deserve each other.

I think she likes Nick because he SHOWS her he adores her, no matter HOW fake it is. :rotfl2:

I think she needs vocal reassurance, like she DIDN'T get from Juant Porno.:rolleyes2

She literally BEGGED for Josh the Jock to tell her he loved her and MELTED when he finally told her SOMETHING.

Nick reminds me of Claire, passionate and wants to BEAT everyone else, but not really serious. Everyone likes adoration to a point but it doesn't last because it has no legs.

I don't understand all the Nick hate? Are you all just going by what the other men have said? Because I certainly have not picked up on any smarmy vibes from him.

Nick has been my favorite from the beginning. He seems genuinely sweet. And what comes across to the other guys as cockiness to me just comes across as confidence.

So many bachelors/bachelorettes say the same thing as Nick "we have a connection that I don't think anyone else has..." and they don't get thrown under the bus for being cocky. He also has said he's not there to make friends. I agree 100% - you're there for Andi, not for any bromance.

I'd much prefer a fully confident guy than an insecure, whiney, needy one.

I haven't seen anything else that points to Nick being the bad guy, other than his confidence in his relationship with her and his being there for Andi, not the guys. I REALLY feel the producers are egging the guys on and creating drama in the house when they're really isn't ANY.

Speaking of Juan Pablo, for some reason, he's on my Facebook. Apparently, he's still dating Nicki and they're both very happy. If that's the case, I must say that although I'm very surprised, I do have some respect that they were able to do it "their way" after the show. Or is there anything I'm missing that might burst my bubble?

No one can tell me how to feel about anyone, I have a radar that can spot insincerity and bs from across the room.

Of course I inherited from my Mom, who saw it in ALL of my exes, something I was too starry eyed to see but BOY was she ever right.

Nick doesn't have to say a thing and no one can say a thing about him to convince me. He's subtle with this strategy and it doesn't surprise me he's a salesman. I deal with about 30 Nicks a day and their job is to be charismatic and know what their client needs to sell to them. He has hit the nail on the head with Andi, he knows exactly what she needs, and he subtly supplies it.

Blatant would've been proof to you, subtle sneaks under lots of people's radar.

He's a snake.

Wasn't it Chris' Mom that said that homemaker bit, in the previews?

Yeah, don't see Andi living on an isolated farm.

It would be hard not to tell them to stop growing GMO corn.

They're going to stretch their 15 mins of fame out on VH1's Couples Therapy this season, a show that Jake and :scared1: Vienna appeared on a few years back. Don't know how it's going but I know of many relationships that survived for YEARS because of weak willed women and obnoxious jerky men.

Match made in heaven.:smokin:

The Mom said something to her but the edit showed him telling her that it was her "opportunity".

Just came off a MOMMY WARS thread about this on another board. :duck: Fight to the finish!! :rotfl2:

AMEN, Robin! I literally fast forwarded through their date last night, because he honest to gosh gives me the wilies. I dated a boy in college with JUST that personality, and I think it's giving me flashbacks. (I wouldn't be surprised to find out he grew up and became a serial killer... really.)

I do blame Andi for wanting a "real man" to sweep her off her feet and declare his love for her (what a drinking game that would have been).

Maybe because I'm a Midwesterner, but I know a ton of women who would adore Chris, his old fashionedness (both in looks and temperment). DS19 said that Chris can go on only farmers dot com if he doesn't win the Bachelor:rotfl:.

I love Chris and when I was young, I would have picked him. But Andi wants no part of farm life-or does she? She did quit her job as Asst. DA recently. Maybe she's going for baking, quilting, barefoot and pregnant. I can just SEE her getting up at 5am to bake biscuits, fresh sausage and squeeze orange juice for all the farm hands. My aunt lived that life and taught school. She loved it! She had her chickens and cats, a beautiful garden and flower beds all around. She also sat some boards and was active in her church, not just attending on Sundays.

Heck I'm from NYC and I'd throw slop with that guy ANYDAY! talk about GREEN ACRES!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

BTW:I had an ex who owned farmland in Alabama. Somehow he thought he'd transport ME there:rotfl2::rotfl2: Uhhhhh, NOT!!!:rolleyes2

I go NOWHERE that I cannot wear heels... but I digress.:rolleyes1

The town was small, no paved roads, and even worse, NO AIR CONDITIONING! Everywhere we went there were small fans or ceiling fans.

Uhhh NO!!:headache:

There was a large cornfield behind the house. I thought I saw someone walking thru it. When she emerged it was an elderly woman...walking. Everyone spoke and wave to her. It was Miss So and So and she was coming back from dialysis....

Thru the cornfield????

Needless to say I took my urban attitude and RAN out of that mess :car: I don't think they understood me anyway. :rotfl:

But he didn't look like Chris... I'd think twice now since I'm a lot more reserved than I was back then.:cloud9:

The thing that bothers me about Nick is that he studied up on how to be a contestant by watching multiple seasons. While that is recommended for many 'reality' TV shows like Survivor, Big Brother and Amazing Race, it comes off as insincere and calculated on a show about finding love. Plus, it appears that he handicaps every date, every rose and even the weekly order of finish. Can you say 'Winning!'?

Tell me more about this TV show. It sounds like it might be the type of reality/meaningless stuff that I'd love!

Nick reminds me of this guy:

Shrek%20the%20Third%20-%20Lord%20Farquaad%20-%2002.jpg

That is so funny, because all along I've thought that Nick looks like a young John Lithgow...who voices Lord Farquaad! :rotfl:

I think the scarves look weird too. If it's cold, can't you choose a more manly-looking plaid fleece scarf or something??

....can you say "LOSER"???? Srsly, who has TIME for that??!?!!?!?!? :confused3
