I totally agree about what Eric meant and how Andi overreacted. He certainly was nice about it tho, and looked a bit stunned. I think the show was due for some drama, and Eric happened to be the one that was there at the time. Like, per the "script", if anyone said anything that she could even remotely perceive as an attack on her, then it's time for the "I'm here for the right reasons...I'm here to find love...this is SO hard...cry cry cry" scene.
Anyone ever see the old Doris Day film "The Thrill of It All?" Doris Day plays a doctor's wife, a housewife, who inadvertently becomes a star of commercials. The live TV shows that air her commercials are the same every week, with a different setting and characters, but the same storyline...man and woman in some sort of contentious situation exchange words, he calls her a name, she throws a drink in his face...something like that...but the settings are a western, Nazi Germany, etc...and the producers all swear that the public doesn't notice things like that, but Doris Day's little kids do. LOL That's what The Bachelor/ette is like...same lines, same scenes, different stars, different settings.
