Tomorrow morning is our 180 day point so we were getting things finalized this afternoon, but when we were checking times for EMH and hours of operation for the trip, we found that neither have been posted yet. The WDW site calendar says the information is not yet available. This makes me think our efforts to maximize time and schedule will be futile since we are uncertain of the regular park hours and EMH.

We are concerned about making dining ADR's because we would hate to make dinner reservations at a park when we may have to scurry to another for EMH. Does anyone else see this lack of available hours as a possible stumbling block to our dining reservations......is anyone else facing this same situation???

There is a LOONNNGG thread about this on the theme boards. What a shame that the hours aren't posted! I feel for you. We were thinking of a quick trip down in November this year but I decided to just wait it out until next year. I'm glad cause I would be pulling my hair out if no hours were posted yet! Here's hoping they get posted soon. pixiedust:

That is unfortunate. Whenever we have made our 180 day ADRs that information has always been posted.

I'd say make your ADRs as best as you can, using the EMH from October, and then check the Extra Magic hours as soon as they are posted, which should be soon.

You can then try to make modifications where necessary.

I need to make my ADRs in about 3 weeks (for December). And I think that we will have the same problem. I feel for you. Good luck!

We are at the 180 day mark today and made our ADR's based on last years hours. We think that they should be about the same and made our decisions based on that. We are also flexible enough with our plans for our November trip that if the hours are not the same we won't really have much of a problem.

I noticed you have posted new threads here and on the theme park boards about this. There is an existing thread which you may be interested in. It is on the theme park board and has tons of posts just like yours in it.

A lot of people (including me) are in the same boat. All I can say is make some ADRs and then change them if need be when the hours come out. Inconvenient- yes, but really the only option as of now.

We're going this November too but having eaten at almost all WDW restaurants we're waiting until a few months before our trip to make ADR's. We're very flexible with times and places to eat at so we're not making any of our schedule until EMH's come out. Then we'll call and see what we can get and go from there. I agree it does make it more difficult if you need a specific time or want to eat at a certain restaurant.

We're going Thanksgiving week, and I made our ADRs yesterday based on last year's park hours and TGM's recommended days charts. I'm hoping for the best!

Same boat here. Made our dinner ADR's and hoping we don't have too much tweaking to do but holding off on lunch.:sad2:

If you compare month to month, the EMH are always on the same days : PM EMH MK is on Sunday, PM EMH Epcot is Friday, etc. Maybe try and compare the two months before and if they are the same as far as days..I would go with that and if you have to switch some things around, it should not be an issue. I know most ppl on Dis will book 180 days out but most other ppl will book 90 days or less so I would not stress!

The last two years EMH are the same so we went with those and will change them if we need to. I only made 2, really, so no biggie.

I clicked on Theme Parks at the top of this page, then Park Hours. There is a calculator down on that next page. Put in the dates of your trip and it will project what the EMH will look like based on prior year data. Not etched in stone, but better than flying "blind".

Go get those ADRs!

Tweaking at a later date is fine, but the issue I am really concerned with is if we schedule our day in Epcot hoping for EMH then find out MK is the park having EMH......this shoots the plan for us because on EMH nights we go to the parks later (i.e. sleep in), have a late dinner, and we do not purchase park hoppers. We are flexible with restaurants and times, but if we end up in the wrong park for EMH, being flexible isn't going to get it done........for us, we will be looking at a complete rework of our itinerary and re-booking all our ADR's to coincide with a new itinerary. Being the week before Thanksgiving means heavy crowds too which translates into tougher scheduling of ADR's to fit the new itinerary.

As for looking back at past EMH, I did that and it seems the days do not match up the way they have in the past.........It looks like Sept. & Oct. EMH do not follow a pattern as they have in previous years (i.e. MK on Tuesday each week). From week to week in the two prior month's EMH seem random; one week EMH on Monday, next week EMH on Tuesday, third week EMH on Sunday.........this type of scheduling makes predicting the coming months way more difficult than it has been in the past.

All I can do right now is make my ADR's this morning then hope for the best..........thanks to everyone for your input and support in this time of frustration. ;)

I am very happy with our reservations, so DW and I have decided to add on park hopper options to my ticket and DD14's ticket when we get there if the EMH do not mesh with our ADR's. DW and younger children do not do EMH because the little ones start to wear down in the evening. Hopefully we won't have to run all over to get from one park to the next, but if we do it will be all good............heck, we will be at WDW!!! :goodvibes

I know what you mean, I kind of hate having to plan out every facet of my trip every day. My husband is throwing a fit b/c of it, he hates being stuck on a schedule. It makes it difficult to switch your plans due to weather or anything if you haves ressies at one of the park dining places.
