There have been lots of breakthroughs lately, I also read about lithium being shown to work on Alzheimers.

I lost a dear friend to this horrible disease and I truly hope they find a cure as soon as possible.

I heard about that yesterday. That's wonderful news. My impression was it isn't a cure so much as a treatment to slow disease progression. But still, excellent news.

That was my impression as well but the article I read did say if the surgery is performed before symptoms start it is hopeful they never manifest. Even if it is not a total cure, that would be amazing.

Agree. If it means slowing progression enough to where they could get a little Disney (or their other passions) in, it’s a game changer.
