Well we got back Sunday and finally after going through 800 emails I am now finally getting caught up with everything, except we are still unpacking. We first went to Sarosota and loved that area. Then on to the fort on the 30th of November. We were at site 228 and loved the campground. Frustrating at first trying to figure out how to get to everything but we managed. Park crowds allot better than the summer months and weather was great. Rained overnight once and on our last day. We noticed the extra evening hours were very managable in getting to see things. We did both MGM and Magic Kingdom and we accomplished more than we expected. Last for now because now I get to work on our 3000 pictures that we took and get those ready.

Well it sounds like ya'll hada good time, :thumbsup2
I agree that the first stay at the Fort is pretty much a learn'n experience and gettn familiar with how to work the Disney magic from, and around the Fort.
But your next trip to the Fort will be a piece of cake from here on out :goodvibes.

And those 3000 pics you have,,popcorn::

Yep, we loved the Fort on our first visit back in September too. Our previous 3 trips had been to ASMovies and I could get around that place with my eyes closed, though our first visit was a learning trip. I felt that same way about the Fort in September. By the time I felt like I really knew my way around there, it was time to go home. However, it looks like we're going back to the Fort in January so I feel better prepared.

Glad you had a good time and like Frank, I'll be waiting on some pics.:)

Brumeiser - glad you enjoyed your first Fort visit, learning curve and all. You were there the same time as us...boy that rain on Friday was something, wasn't it?? Relentless.

Looking forward to seeing some of those 3000 pics if you have the time to share!

That's great news!! Happy for you guys!

Sorry OP...not meaning to hijack your thread.

BEER....KUNGALOOSH.....HOORAY!!!!

in fact that was the day that we left to go home. It was not fun driving in that heavy rain all the way up to Atlanta. And when my son woke up on Saturday morning I heard him say cool dad it is snowing in Georgia!!!. Well that got my attention that we better get the anti freeze out and winterize the motor home. Finally today in our part of Ohio we got our first snow of the year not much but it was something. I will try and post some pictures when I get a chance. It has been so crazy getting back Sunday and back to work on Monday. We have been fighting all day with the tarp on the motorhome, the 60 mile per winds are creating havoc on the tarp. I had to go out and buy 6 more bungee cord to try and keep it down. Well deleting the bad fuzzy pictures I am now down to 2000 pictures. And I probably can delete a few more.

I bet you're not as happy as we are about it Dave!:lmao: We're going with my parents again so it will be interesting. My husband is going to pick up a new boat in the morning...instead of a camper. Needless to say, he is on my naughty list right now. I feel like we will get much more use out of a camper than a boat, but it's duck season and he's not budging. He
co-owned a boat in the past with a friend and the friend sold it without telling us. (Long story, but we're not friends anymore.) If I can get one trip a year to the Fort, even if it's in Mom and Dad's camper, I'll be content...for now.

Sorry OP, I didn't mean to momentarily hijack your thread either.

I think there is an unwritten rule around here that you can't hijack a thread without discussing beer or kungaloosh.
Scott - we have a rules violation here!! :lmao:

You are absolutely right. I apologize for the infraction, and have gone back and edited my post accordingly.

Hi Brumeiser,
Thanks for sharing about your trip. Glad to hear you had a good first stay at the Fort. It is a wonderful place and hopefully you will be back to visit again. If you have a chance please post some of those pictures you took! :thumbsup2
