We love our Disney Photomovie!

I am not very comp literate, but i have used a programme called Muvee auto producer, to make a photo slideshow with my own pics and music, very simple to use and you can make your own movies, in the process of doing this at the minute, and if i can use it i assure you anyone can, try it out, find it at www.muvee.com ,think they are doing a discount at the minute

I have a questions about the photos you use and the placement of them. For example, in the AK one - they show a video of the safari and then one of your own pictures. Can you specify that you want your picture of the safari placed there, or do they put them where they want. Also, in Epcot, it shows all the countries individually - and a place your your picture - if they are showing a video of Italy, can you put your picture from Italy there?

We will definately do this our next time down. Just wanted to get more info. Also, I would want to specifically take certain pictures that I know would fit into the video.

Thanks,
Linda

How long did it take after you ordered your movie until you recieved it? I ordered mine a week ago and it hasn't shipped yet?
Thanks

I made one of these in Decmeber from our 1st trip to WDW in October. I thought it was well worth the $49.99. I would have a hard time paying full price. I was nice that I was able to include many of my photopass pictures that I did not purchase and that were about to me gone soon from the website. I gave the DVD to DD for her 3rd birthday in January. She loves it. She gets so excited seeing her with all of her favorite characters "on TV!" The moive was real easy to make. I suggest uploading you pictures, then watch the preview, it will show you what is on the background around your pictures. I made sure DD and Cinderella's pic followed Cinderella dancing across the screen, etc. It took some extra time to put together, but the end product is perfect.

You can place your photos wherever you want them using a drop and click. You can move them around after you preview the photomovie if you want to make changes. It is really very easy and you will love the results!

We just received our Disney photomovie the other day. It only took one week to get here. I love it! I scanned in pictures from the first time dh and I went to Disney in 1975 to our most current trip in 2005. First its my dh and I together then our ds who was born in 1985 then our dd who was born in 1989 up to the most current trips. Its so great to have this one one video. I can make my own, but I love the animations Disney has, especially the Tinkerbell one.

This is something I'm eager to do, especially next Oct for my dd's 13th birthday trip. However, I'm not very computer/picture literate. My photos all get put in my Koday Easyshare spot...am I going to be able to upload them to the PhotoMovie easily?? If I make one 'album' of just the shots I want...would that make it easier? Thanks for any thoughts. I think I need to take a computer/photo class!!!

Can someone please recommend some good "make at home" video software programs? I have been meaning to get something like this. I usually bring a video camera on all my trips and have my 2 children's major milestones from birth to now on video. I love using my video camera but the down side is I cannot add music and fun affects to it.
What do you guys recommend and what do I need to get started besides a computer. I am assuming the computer needs a DVD burner - what else? Is it easy to use? Can I use the program for home videos which are on 8mm tapes?
I know the questions are basic but I am new to this...

Wow, thanks so much for posting this! I have so many great pictures from our December 2004 trip and this will be just great to showcase them! I have them all in a very nice Disney photo album, but the photomovie looks WAY better!

Does anyone know if you CAN make copies?

Or if not, can you order the photomovie, then if someone wants a copy, can you order copies after you have the first one?

When I ordered my movie, if I ordered a second copy there was a discounted price. Not sure if you can burn a copy of the DVD at home once received. I have not tried this, but will have to. No one ever knows when DD (3) will decided to try to put the DVD into the player.

I used Kodak Easyshare to make ours. You will find that it is very easy. Just keep the shots you want to use in one album. Good luck!

I just made a movie of our Dec. trip on my own computer that sounds like the very same thing. I used Pinnacle Studio Plus version9. A month ago they had a free trial period for the V.9 so we downloaded it and made our movie. Everyone loved it. I did one with just our favorite photos with disney music my husband already had in his MP3 folder. You could use your own CD also. My husband is making one with our videos that we took but it is taking longer. I am not very computer savy, but I was able to put a 50minute movie together very easily. Our trial is almost up and I plan on purchasing the software cause I loved it so much. They now have version10 out that I have not played with. I checked their website but could not find a downloadable demo or trial with the new version. I think the new one is running $49.95 which is the same cost as this but you could use it over and over. Here is the link if anyone is interested: http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/Home+Video/Studio+Family/

You can mix photos and video, but I have not ventured there yet. Just wanted to share incase anyone is interested in making their own movie. I plan on going back and doing one for each of our trips and vacations. I forgot to mention that you would have to have a DVD burner in your computer if you are to do this.

What kind of music can you add to it? I know CDs are protected. So, I'd have to buy a song online and use that? Will it play on most DVD players?

I did the photomovie from Disneys website to. The best thing is you can put as many Photopass pics in as you want but not with the fancy borders or anything just the once they take of you at the park. Could decide on the photo passes I wanted so I had 17(some were repeats) of them and manged to put in all the ones I wanted in to the photomovie. So I payed $56 including shipping and got atleast 7 photopass pics as opposed to buy 7 at 12.95 each. Yes it is not on paper but I can still see them whenever I want by simply turning the dvd player on. :yay:

Thanks...maybe I'll try it in May and see how it works out, before the really big trip!!!

Just want to add my 2 cents.....
I did a photomovie for my dh's birthday. He LOVED it! It couldn't have been easier to do. Like another poster said, just put the pictures you want into the same folder. That includes pictures that you've scanned in. Oh, don't forget that you can use some of their stock photos to fill-in if you don't have enough pictures. For example, if you only have 10 pictures to use for Animal Kingdom but there are 12 slots, just choose 2 of their stock photos (I used a Jammin Jungle parade photo of their since I didn't have a good one) to fill in. My only complaint -- there are a few pictures that HAVE to be landscape-oriented instead (horizoltal) of portrait-oriented (vertical) because of the special graphics they use. However, they don't tell you that when you are putting your pictures into the movie. So, when I got mine, there were a few vertical pictured that they put into a horizontal frame and cut off some of the picture.
