We lost our beloved Grandma yesterday

My beloved Grandma who just celebrated her 90th birthday 2 weeks ago, left us yesterday. She had a sudden heart attack, and couldn't recover. This is my 3rd loved one that I have buried inside of 6 months - grandfather, aunt and now grandma.

This comes at an especially difficult time for my family as we just buried my beloved aunt 6 weeks ago - she succumbed to cancer at age 48 (much too young) after a courageous fight. We were actually at a memorial mass for my aunt, when my grandmother was rushed from nursing home to hospital. We were able to say goodbye and be with her at her moment of passing into heaven. She was surely welcomed into heaven by my grandpa (he's been gone for 21 years) and of course, my aunt (her daughter-in-law).

If anyone can spare a few prayers for my family, we would appreciate it. Although we are happy my grandma had an amazing life and lived to 90, we are still very sad from my aunt's funeral only 6 weeks ago. It was a huge funeral, and now, here we go again...Too much, too soon...

May all of you who also lost loved ones yesterday, Valentine's Day, carry with you special memories and happy times.

Thanks, Tiger

I am so sorry for your loss!

My family has hit an especially rough patch this year as well. Since mid November we have had 7 funerals. In fact, we have 2 tomorrow at the same time. My DH's grandfather passed away late Friday night (heart disease and kidney failure) and my great Uncle also passed away the same night. We've also lost my dad's uncle, my aunt's father-in-law, dad's cousin, godmother's father and a close family friend in the 3 month span. We are a fairly close family and know all our distant relatives very well. My aunt's inlaws were like grandparents to me since I was always with my cousins. Same with my godmother's dad....her parents were like grandparents. It has just been an awful rough patch but we just soldier on. The ironic thing is I know of 10 people (friends/family) that are pregnant....just found out about 2 last week. It is kind of funny how that happens!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my great-grandfather and my grandfather within two months of each other, so I can understand how hard it must be for you. They were both on my maternal side, so my poor grandmother had to bury her dad and then two months later - her husband. :guilty: You and your family are in my prayers.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear grandmother as well as your grandfather and aunt. That is a lot all at once...you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry for your loss. I just said a prayer for you and your family.

 Prayers for you and your family. So sorry to hear about your loss.

My grandpa (last of my grandparents on both sides) is also in a nursing home. He's been placed into the hospice unit, so I know it won't be long before I get the dreaded call. So I really feel for you at the moment. At least your grandparents are together again in heaven.

I'm so sorry for all of your losses. Your family is in my prayers.

In 2005, we lost 13 family members in 11 months, beginning in July. The start of the Winter Olympics brought it all back again for me, as we lost my great-aunt right at the beginning of the Games in Torino. I thought the sadness would never end. It got to the point that just about every time the phone rang, I'd brace myself for more bad news.

I'm sorry again that your family is going through this.

You have my sympathies, may you and your family find Peace with God at this sad time

My prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. I am so sorry for your loss. I know that it's hard to reflect on the good times when the pain seems to override them, but knowing that you have those many wonderful years to look back on may someday lessen the pain. Until then,

So sorry sweetie, that's such a heartache in a short amount of time, and I send my prayers. May you be granted comfort, strength, and peace, at this difficult time in your life. I know the pain of losing loving GP's and may all their loving memories warm your heart in all your days.

:grouphug: Prayers to all those who've suffered sad losses of loved ones.

First time back on the boards as I've been doing photos all day and just finished the obituary with my cousin.

We are a very religious family, so that's what gets us through. Thank goodness we have each other!

I thank each and everyone one of you for your prayers, and have said prayers for all of you who have lost loved ones as well.

May God bless all of you and your families, Tiger

I am so very sorry for your loss.
I still grieve for my MumMum to this day.

Your in my prayers....

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family along with other posters that have lost loved ones recently. :grouphug:

I, too, have had a lot of sadness lately. My Mom passed away 2 weeks ago and my brother last week. My other brother died in April. All too young. Mom was 76 and DBs were 57 and 52.
