Well our annual trip is over for the year... we leave for home tomorrow! :guilty:
We started our trip in 2 studios @ OKW building 11 for one night (had to use or lose points!) Loved the location being so close to Hospitality House and main pool!!!
Rooms in good shape and spacious as always.
2 issues.... 1st one is minor...more of a question but WHY are the beds sooo high @ OKW. I am not a tall person and pregnant and had fun climbing in and out of bed all night! Was it designed by giants???
#2 is an issue we always seem to have. As you know, most studios are connected to one bedrooms... well there was a family in the next room who were loud and obnoxious. The kids were screaming and running around.... and then the mother almost scred the baby right out of me when she freaked out on them. She was twice as loud. It was a RUDE awakening for us all!
We then spent Sunday -Saturday in a 2 bedroom standard view ( i must say, I'd take this room anyday again. 3125&3127. We were a 2 second walk to quiet pool... and parking. Also had a perfect viewing of Fantasmic at MGM and the Tower of terror.) Also overlooked a pond full of ducks.
My issues with BWV stay.... there is NO counter space in the kitchen... it's more like a shelf. Had more room in the studio attached to us. #2... WHY do people not have the common courtesy or sense to NOT allow there kids to run and scream down the halls at all hours? Do they think the walls are made of concrete and that the doors are sound proof? Both our kids slept poorly due to being woken up numerous times a night. Even my 19 month old knows the difference between an inside and an outside voice. And these were kids between 3 and 8 I'd say.
The weather was fantastic... one overnight of rain.... sunny and hot all week. Used the pool loads. Did 2 half days at MK and 1 half-day @AK. Also ran over to MGM one evening just to see Playhouse Disney.
One thing about anyone coming in September... BEWARE OF THE LOVE BUGS!!! Though harmless... they are extremely annoying. Attaching to anything to mate!!! And they swarm especially under the covered areas at the resort bus stops.
Next trip May 2007... baby's 1st trip and November 2007 disabled dd's 11th b-day!

You could do what one of my friends did. She opened the door and GRABBED the kid by the arm. Mother came ROARING down the hall and my friend pointed out that her kids had been running up and down the hall UNATTENDED all morning and that IF someone had been a pedophile they could have grabbed them. And then she said that if it happened again she would call the FL child services and report the "unattended" kids.... I don't know if that was the solution, but those kids were not seen running unattended again LOL! (My friend is a social worker for abused kids, I bet she did a great job in terrorizing the mom, unfortuantely she does it for real all too often)

I leave for WDW Wednesday evening--you didn't trash the room, did you? :goodvibes Thanks for mentioning that the weather is hot. I packed sweaters, which we are wearing in Michigan now, so I am going back and packing my hot weather clothes instead. :thumbsup2

At VWL last trip, was walking down the hall and I could hear a baby screaming loudly...

Turns out they had proped the door open with the door lock on the top, and screaming baby sounds echoing down the hall (at 11 p.m.).

I quietly opened the door, flipped the lock, and shut the door.

Screaming baby sounds now quietely muffled.

Anyway, poor parents. Had their hands full apparently....

But it WAS LOUD!!!

I totally agree about those stinking Love Bugs. We were there from the 14th - 20th and those bugs were everywhere!

Happy to hear you had a good trip.
