Not sure what kind of sick yet as this just started last night with her and with me today. I wish I would have known she wasn't feeling good yesterday when I was playing kissy monster all over her sick face. :sad2:

Anyway... I'm concerned b/c we're taking her out of school for three days next week. She has already missed 6 days (four doctor excused for h1n1). Ugh. I'm so worried that she will miss more days, but we're still going to Disney. Thankfully we're getting sick now and it should be over before then. We have both been "diagnosed" with h1n1 back in September. We have both been given seasonal flu shots. I'm hoping this is just a simple cold.

Just don't get on a plane if your sick. The person behind us on our last plane trip coughed up a storm the entire time on the plane - she started turning PURPLE! Within about 2 days, we were all very ill. Its not fair to others.

Hope you are all feeling better, soon, and have a wonderful trip.

Hope you both feel better quickly and its just a cold. Like you said at least its now, not next week. I hate when the kids get sick and they have already been out and have to be out again! UGH!

have a great trip! :)

I'm hoping that it's just a cold since we've already had the flu and have the flu shot (i know it's still possible to get it), and I'm against people flying if they are running fevers and are truly sick. However, it's a week out and even the flu didn't stay with us that long. The h1n1 epidemic is pretty much over here in georgia. We are no longer on the widespread map. My little girl is at school right now. She was stuffy, but had no fever and felt fine this morning. She whoops a cold in about 2 days, so we'll know what it is by judging her. The flu was the only illness she's ever had to keep her down that long.

You never know where you picked up your illness, though. I didn't see the person flying behind you, but you never know why folks are coughing. You can usually tell by looking at people if they have flu/cold.

Thanks Mickeyboat for your well-wishes. :flower3:

Thanks! Her teacher would understand. It's the school board I have to worry about, but we need this trip and if I have to homeschool the rest of the year, then that's what I'll do. :)

I think we should be fine, though. She's in first grade and doing very well.

I wouldn't take her out of school for such a long period of time. Please don't think I'm being too forward in suggesting this, but would you consider taking me instead of your daughter, that way she doesn't fall too far behind academically. Understand this, I'm only suggesting this because I feel this would be the best solution for this unfortunate situation.

Also, if you do decide to take me, can we ride Stitches Great Escape first?

...WAIT A SECOND! How inappropriate of you to even THINK of suggesting that!! You should have consulted ME first, so I can take the OP's place.....:rolleyes1
[BTW ~ the first ride ALWAYS is SM!!! ;) ]

Do you drink? Because the thought has crossed my mind to make this an adults-only trip. Not that I'm afraid or don't drink around her, but because she makes an awful drinking buddy. She just can't hang, ya know? 2 Lemoncellos in and she's done. Then I have to carry her around on my shoulders as I continue to drink. I'd opt for the stroller, but she is six and apparently it's frowned upon to use one, even for a child passed-out.

And no.. Stitch's ride is stupid. Let him go pee on someone else.

Just for the record, I asked first. PP is trying to skip past me in line. I also wanted to suck up...umm... tell you what a wonderful mother you are and how it warms my heart to see you so concerned for your lovely, blessed angel.

I've got to be honest. If your daughter can down two Lemoncellos, she can handle her liquor better than me. One and done for me. I would like to point out that even if you did need to carry my unconscious, drunken body back to the hotel room, I have recently lost fifteen pounds. So, I'm much easier to sling over a shoulder these days.

:crazy2::crazy:. ...uhhhhh, HOGWASH!!

It's obvious that Wall-E1 has never met this so-called "blessed angel", as she is certainly a little devil. She's very beautiful, but a devil nonetheless.

And Wall-E.. could you then refrain from drinking and push me around in a stroller while I sip on over-sugary, syrupy frozen concoctions? That would work, too.

Kimmar, please feel free to join us as I'm certain Wall-E needs a chaperone. I hear he can be quite aggressive and argumentative.

That would work for me, but if you are planning to ride in a stroller, than we have to do it proper-like. You need to make sure that you have a steady stream of candy goo slowly rippling out of the corner of your mouth. You need to be prepared for angry guests that don't get out of the way fast enough. It's not my fault that they don't have lightening quick reflexes. Also, upon exiting the stroller, you need to be sure and where an outfit that proudly shows off your plumber's crack.

Also, I would like to aggressively disagree with your statement about me being argumentative. How dare you? Just who do you think you are?!?!?! You always think that your'e right!!! I'm not sleeping at home tonight. I'll find a hotel!!! And maybe even a cheap floozy!

And you think YOU'RE so smart.

And hey.. why don't we just rent ECVs? Can you get a DUI in the World Showcase?

That's what happens when I get to angry typing. Look what you have driven me too - a misplaced apostrophe. I hope yo'ur'e satisfied!

The ECV's are an even more wonderful idea. We can pretend that we are handicapped in order to cut in front of all of the law abiding guests. We can hog up all the available space at buffet meals with our ECVs. I'm pretty sure that you cannot get pulled over in Epcot for drunken ECV driving. Heck, I don't even think there is a speed limit in Germany.

This is becoming a great idea. As soon as the kid is done contaminating all the other kids in school today... I'll let her know that she won't have to miss her Christmas party at school afterall, and that I'll be at Disney whoopin' it up! She will probably be the only one at the party, b/c all the rest of the kids are sick, but hey.. I won't know anything about it as I'll be drinkin' and a drivin' my way around the world!

Well, I've got to head out and stock up on the canned dog food. I don't want my son to go hungry while we are having the time of our lives at Disney.

p.s. - Plees pay more atention to your grammer wen typing. I notissed that you failed to put a spase between the too wurds - after end all.
