We Just Had An Earthquake!

The whole house shook for about 30 seconds, windows rattled, ornaments tipped over. It felt like an airplane was landing on the roof. This is unusual here, but not unheard of. This is the second small one we've experienced in the last few years. Freaky!

We felt it too. I was in the garage, waxing my XC skis with the door open. At first I thought it was a heavy truck or grader coming down the street - then it felt like it was rumbling through the front yard! DS and DW both felt it inside - they thought it was a truck or a low flying plane (like FayeW mentioned).

I thought that there was a truck heading for the house. Very strange. At least there are no reports of damage or injuries.

OMG! we heard like a rumble, we were in the basement and there was vibration, and i said 'oh a truck going by' omg! freak me out! (i am in barrhaven)

...I picked up some info from the US Geological Survey's earthquake site. I'm sure there is a Canadian site as well, but this is one I found in Dec 2004 after the tsunami disaster.

We had 4 small ones on the East side of Cleveland, Ohio a few weeks ago. They says theres a big fault under Lake Erie.

Sylvia Brown says theres gonna be a big one and NOT in California!
