We just got back from a last minute trip! Not as busy as i thought it would be

We decided last tuesday to take a trip to the world. We suprised dd8 she didn't know until we was checking in at the airport. We was not able to get a disney resort this time. They said they were all booked. But it didn't seem to be busy enough to be all booked up though. I was expecting the lines to be real long and there to be loads of people. Just wasn't that way at all. We did however stay at the royal plaza dtd it wasn't my 1st choice but it was okay. The buses ran every 30 minutes and was always on time. The hotel was clean and roomy. I just missed having the disney feel and the food right there if needed. We are suppose to go back this summer as well.

What type of resort did you want to stay at?

It does sound strange.
In november, I asked to stay an extra 2 nites and I got it with my discount.

Did you book through a travel agency? Sometimes they only can get so many rooms and will tell you no availability, but Disney still has tons of rooms. I really doubt they were booked completely. This weekend should be busy for Presidnets day though. May parents were visitng the parks last week, and said it was very managable, but went to AK yesterday and said that was pretty busy. The most people they had encountered all week.

We was wanting to stay at the pop century. And i called disney direct and nothing came up according to them but the contemporary for a total of $7,000+ for 4 nights room only. That was just way to much to pay. I am not sure why there was nothing available, but we ended up being okay at the royal plaza. I still can't believe that they was that booked.
