we just closed! need help!

We just closed on Monday! Yeah!! My question is this: We had points in reservation status, so our first trip has to be at a non-dvc resort. Any tips on where to book for July 07.We are thinking poly but not sure we can get in. Thanks!!

they will help with the choices.

the Polyn is a fun place!!! but so are some of the others.

also you need to find out when these points expire.

what is your use year?

I think you can use them for the concierge collection too. just in case they will cease before you next trip to Disney.

You can try for BCV or BWV over July 4. We did BCV last July 4 and it helped us manage the crowds. We did a different park every day but made most of our dining reservations in Epcot. That way we could walk home at night rather than using the transportation system, which was especially valuable on Independence Day.

I was told that the points in reservation status could not be used at a dvc resort. There are 274 points that have to be used by aug 1, 07. Also, I am under the impression that I can't use the DDP either because the points are being used at a non dvc resort. Am I correct?

You could still try for Beach Club or Boardwalk Inn, of course. If it were me, I'd probably use them for someplace you can't stay with DVC. I guess the main question is how long do you want to stay? And are you most interested in Disney or would you enjoy going to someplace more, er, temperate in July? Because if it were me, I think I would go for a few nights at Mackinac Island's Grand Hotel. You could stay a LONG time in July at a moderate resort, too. You won't know if you can get in at the Poly until you try - it is still early, though, so if that's what you want, you should try for it!

That is correct, reservations using points at non-DVC resorts are not able to add the dining plan.
