Dh just called me and they are cutting down on his job. He has one full time job and then 3 nights a week he works a part-time job. They are cutting down two of the three nights that he works his part-time job. I work outside the home too and have a part-time job. Our disabled son depends on me to take him to and from his job, so it is important that I keep the part-time job that I have because it is flexible and it is in our area.
I can tell he is in panic mode already. He's talking about working two shifts on Saturday instead, or working Saturday and Sunday - okay, there goes our chances of ever doing anything as a family again. Not that we were planning on going away or anything, but he used to work both days on the weekend and it sucked. I know he has to do whatever he can to make the money, but I'm not looking forward to the change! And I'm not looking forward to his mood until it gets straightened out either.
It just seems that we cannot get ahead, and now we will be falling behind. The news reports every night tell of the rising prices in gas, food and just about everything else - now we will have less money and the prices will be higher.
