eek! we signed our papers on wednesday. we visited in october and leave today. on tuesday nite while walking through wl i saw the desk and figured what the heck, why not ask. atleast ill get ice cream and a gift card! lol well our 60-90 minute tour turned into about 4 hrs there. weve bought into bay lake towers. used a referral, got the discount on points and they prorated 160 for us.
it really only made sense. since between the last two trips we spent almost 10000 alone, the numbers just make sense and add up. very happy to have joined!

Congrats! It took us a lot longer to decide than you! (5 years and 4 separate DVC presentations), We bought into BLT last month! Over the years, we had toured SSR, AKLV and BLT. I liked the rooms at AKLV better, but the whole family agreed that the location of BLT outweighed that. We're using points for a short pre-cruise stay at BWV in September, but will be staying in a 2BR at BLT next year!

We're using points for a short pre-cruise stay at BWV in September, but will be staying in a 2BR at BLT next year!

It took as about 4 years and 4 trips to finally take the plunge! I also agree I loved the rooms at AKV better but location won out for BLT. I know I will have many trips to both resorts and also figured AKV will be easier to get at 7 months since it is a larger resort. Staying in 2 bdrm OKW in 2 weeks with girlfriends 1st dvc trip, then 2 bdrm BLT in Dec for DH b.day with friends(never been there before the holidays so excited) and then BLT again in Feb with DD's and DH! AP pass here I come.

wow! that long eh? we looked at the numbers and really it only made sense. asa couple this was our 5th trip together. our very first one together in 2003 we easily spent 10000 to staqy off property! then we returned the next two years. add last years october trip and the one that ended today and we would of had it all paid off by now! cripes! ive been pushing for a feb trip next year since dd has two weeks off school. hubby would probably go with it, but i mean if were going to spend that much time there it only made sense. i agree aklv is incredible...atleast the mockup was...not a detail missed.

wow have fun! we were about to buy ap's before we left today, and our dvc dude said no wait til tyou come down next spring...then we'll hopefully get two years out of it. made sense to me!

ran into two dvc'ers on the plane today to ohio...theyre at stsr...they said we'd love it and toured bay lake yesterday.

Congratulations and Welcome Home! We took the tour 3 years ago to get the $100.00 room discount when we took our kids and grandkids down for my nephew's wedding. Like you - 4 hours later we were the proud owners of 600 points (3- 200 point contracts). Now we can take our family and the room is paid for! We also enjoy our adult only trips and have been to HHI for a week. We own at AKV and LOVE it!!! oh, and we also got a free years worth of points when we bought in and took a AVD trip to Italy for our 40th anniversary. DVC is awesome.
