Hello everyone! We have just booked our first disney Cruise for April 2004 on Disney Wonder! It will be me, DH, DS age 12, and DS age 9 at the time of the cruise. We have cruised before but not Disney. We were at the World last year and I wanted to return next year but DH husband wanted to cruise. So I looked into a Disney Cruise and was surprised on how affordable it was (what a compromise huh?) I'm sure I will have a million questions in the upcoming months. Right now I have two questions: Do they accept Disney dollars on the cruise and 2) how do you do a cruise countdown like the ones I've seen on so many posts? I look forward to talking with you all. Thank you.

I'm not sure about the countdown (since we have a dozen cruises coming up, it would be a bit much in our signatures!), but I must warn you...BEWARE!!! DISNEY CRUISING IS ADDICTIVE!
But you are definitely at the right place to get your million questions answered.
And yes, they do accept Disney Dollars. :D

Welcome RW2Dodge~

If you go to the Technical forum, you will find the directions there on the second post... click on the first page and you'll see the click here instructions. You have to post a test to that forum to make sure it works,,, don't worry if you don't get it the first time... took me 3 times to get what I wanted....

The main thing about the instructions---- copy and paste and it's a lot easier.

Good Luck!
Jeanny :D

What wonder cruise are you booked for? We are taking our first one on April 25 - 29, 2004. We can't wait either! This will be our first cruise all together! DS-14 and DD 12!

399 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!:sunny: :sunny:

We just booked our first Disney cruise too! Doesn't it just feel good knowing that it's booked? Counting down and planning is half the fun!!

You cannot use cash or Disney Dollars to buy drinks or stuff in the bars or gift shops. Only to pay off your shipboard account.

.....for January, 2004. Yesterday, I received our copy of the new PassPorter guide for the cruise, and had a wonderful hour trolling through it and doing some Disney Dreaming! I am so excited.....it will be so nice to eat meals brought to me.....to drink beverages that don't come in a cup featuring a golden arches logo on it.....to have my biggest concern be a desperately important choice between the Kaluah Trifle and the Double Fudge Chocolate Cake. I am so there. *sigh*

Branda,

Don't even make a decision on the desserts.....DCL lets you have both!

We are currently planning our second DCL cruise. We loved our first in 2001 and I am eagerly awaiting the second. These boards are great for helping get through the long wait!

Beetlemom

We are booked on the same cruise starting April 25, 2004. Hope to talk to you again.

Just off my first Disney cruise on the 15th (I was on the Magic Eastern cruise). I highly recommend you look at a copy of the PassPorter for the Disney Cruise Line. It was full of great information. My friends called me their personal cruise director.

Welcome new cruisers!

Yes, as Barb said, it is addictive!!!!!

My DS (7) says that he would rather be on the ship than at WDW. In fact, he complained the entire time we were at WDW during Christmas because he wanted to just get to the ship. As much as DH and I loved WDW, the cruise ship is much more our style and that's how we will spend all our free time and money!!!
