Anyone elses DH or DW Disneyed out? My wonderful DH said to me three years ago to please lets not go to Disney next year. :rotfl: I was floored. My parents have been taking me to DL since 1959 every year until WDW opened and we started going there in 1972. For me it's a tradition and one that I absolutely love. We joined DVC so we could book vacations at HHI, VB and WDW or DLC each and every year. I see a lot of threads that asked"What made you join DVC" well for us this was the best of all worlds. BTW we are new DVC members and we can hardly wait to go "HOME".

I love Disney, but there are a lot of wonderful vacations that you'd miss if you only go to Disney over and over again. Bank your points and book every second or every third trip somewhere else. Your husband will probably stop objecting if he doesn't feel he's locked in to a single group of destinations.

Although we had been to WDW several times previously :earsboy: we found ourselves in 94 being "empty nesters", and things took off.Betwwen April 94 and today we have been to WDW over 25 times. :earsboy: We been the 2 of us,grown kids, grandkids, and combinations of both. Our "other" vacations are few and far between, but we are trying to wean our selves down to once a year or every two years. We may need to contact the local chapter of Disney Anonymous and get help. :earsboy:

DH was Disneyed-out long before we joined DVC. He only went with me grudgingly. He agreed to join only because he wasn't taking vacations at all (workaholic), and knew he needed to change. Boy, has he! As the Vacation Club video says, joining DVC has really changed HOW we vacation. Now a trip to WDW isn't a commando, exhausting "quest", it's a real, relaxing vacation (OK-with lots of golf thrown in). And HHI is an annual "must-do". For us, joining DVC has completely changed the way we approach WDW vacations, and adding HHI to the mix really adds to the pleasure.

My hubby was not so keen on Disney either, but did enjoy trips with us to have fun with our children. Now that we have stayed on points and in moderates when we aren't on points and no longer feel the need to DO EVERYTHING each trip, he is sooooo much more excited about going. :flower: It really has made a big difference for us!
