We Invite You to Relax as the Dining Room Proudly Presents a TR! *The End 12/24 Pg44*

Well... you brave little soul! At least you gave it a try! Now you have a valid reason to not want to ride it :rotfl2: EVER. I don't like it much either. Bubba always wants me to ride with her but my body just can't hack it. The backwards part really gets me. That's a priceless picture though

Marc did lie to you...they took out the Yeti! It's just a shadow on the wall now. Well unless enough people have complained and they put him back in. :confused3 He does look like he's going to hit you in the head when he's there.

They say that pictures are worth a thousand words well all of yours would be related to the word TERRIFIED! WOW, you held on for dear life!!

YAY for a great morning at AK!!! And a DIS meet to boot!! That is so awesome!!!! You took some great shots on the safari!! NICE!!

Okay, I totally had all these cute little comments to make about the rest of your update, and then, I got to you riding Everest and that picture!!! Oh, that picture, LL! Okay, I have to do it -- please don't be mad at me, but...

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Okay, I am trying to pull myself together although I will confess I have tears! Absolute tears from laughing so hard! That is the BEST, BEST, BEST picture ever!!!

I am very proud of you for riding Everest at least once. I think our families need to travel together and then we can hang out together while the rest of them get their thrill ride on. :thumbsup2

Now, I have to pull myself together and remember what else I wanted to say...

How cool that you were able to meet up with all those other DISers purely by chance!

Great picture of the baby elephant on the safari!

Love the tiger pictures, and I completely agree with you about the birds -- they can just leave.

Beautiful atmosphere shots around Animal Kingdom! Just beautiful!

You are brave for trying and will now know to stay far, far away in the future!!! The only ride I refuse to ever, ever ride again is Mission: Space, orange side - SOOO scary! I've never been claustrophobic until I experienced that ride! :rotfl:

Looking forward to the rest of the day and seeing what you did to forget about the awful EE experience!

Personally I think you should have done the front car.

Ok, anyway.....

Great pic of the tiger going into the water, we have never seen any tiger action!!

I'm a bat lover too! Especially fruit bats. :lovestruc
Have you ever read Stellaluna?
I can't read it without crying...

Here it is, just click on more stories and then click on the book. I know you will love it too!
http://www.storylineonline.net/

Oh my heavens that EE picture is just priceless! It perfectly sums up your two very different experiences on the same ride! :rotfl:

Lovely pictures from the rest of your meandering so far as well.

Okay LL, I just really enjoye all those AK updates! Especially all the fab photos of the monkeys and the tigers! And I have to say, while I am NOT laughing at you, that photo on EE? , that there is something funny. :rotfl2: Your face well both your faces, PRICELESS... :goodvibes

AND I totally agree with you. I ride it ONCE a trip. that is it.

Yay for a Dis Meet. great AK pics. Wow, on riding EE. I will never, ever never do it. my 4 yr old swears she wants to do TOT in Dec and i am shaking. Now u can say you did it. The pic is priceless.

I love all the shots you got on your photo walk! Great job, Leslie!

I have to say, of all the coasters at Disney, EE has the best track layout, and theming! I love it!! But, I have ridden one that almost gave me a panic attack at Dollywood. I hated it!! I swear I almost (quite literally!) peed my pants while on it. So I totally understand your fear and feelings from it.

OMG......:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:.....You are totally cracking me up this morning! That picture is priceless! OK - so you hated EE, but you've got to give yourself mad props for going on it! So what if you had your eyes closed the whole time! You did it! You fought your fears! Nice work.

They way you describe EE is how I would feel if I tried to do one of those amusement park coasters that blast you off and takes you straight up and down in like 30 seconds. That's why I will NEVER do one of those!!!!!

OK - back to the update. Cool little picture spot you found by the TOL.

Loved your Tshirt - very cute.

Loved the bat and tiger pictures. I have to agree with you - domestic cats and big cats have so many similar traits, it just makes me wonder how they evolved through the evolutionary tree. Seriously, domestic cats are so much smaller, but they have the same mannerisms, they hunt the same, and sometimes when mine run across the back yard I see them acting just like a big cat.

OH - and very cool to the impromptu DIS meet! How great that you all got to ride safari together!

At least you gave EE a try and since you now know you don't like it you don't have to ride it again. I love EE, but can't do it more than twice in one day as the backwards part get a little disconcerting. That is why Disney is so great. Something for everyone. Hope you still enjoyed your day at AK.

Great trip report! Especially good documentation of Animal Kingdom. I like the pictures of you and your husband together, you look like a really nice couple. I hope I manage to get some good pictures of my husband and I together when we go, I'm not very experienced in asking other people to take pictures!

Oh gosh, your EE picture! I love it but it's definitely not for everyone...my mom, for one, will sometimes ride it then wonder why she does that to herself. At least now you know you're not missing out by not riding it!

I love watching the big kitties. I can't have cats but I love being over the houses of people who do have cats because I love watching them. My B/F showed me a YouTube video not too long ago...the head zookeeper of some zoo put catnip in paper bags and gave it to the big kitties (they were always asked if the big cats liked catnip) and they LOVED it! It was the cutest thing ever to watch.
Awww, that is so cute about the tigers and cat nip. It's strange if you really look and see how similiar they look!

I love this pic! I knew that it matched up, but this is the best view of that I have seen!
Thanks!! It was hard to take pictures there because it was so bright I could barely see my camera screen. :rotfl2:

I really like the view of the Tree of Life you found. You got some great pictures. Speaking of pictures, that EE pictures is great. It certainly tells a story. :rotfl2:
That it does, a story of a terrified lady.

HOLY HANNAH - that was brave/crazy of you! Now you're done. Good for you.
I believe I would look much the same as you if I ever for some unknown reason attempted to ride EE. No thank you. Although I don't believe anyone in my family would want to ride it, so I won't get asked!

ETA - your pictures are beautiful!! So clear and sharp!
Yes, I am Done. That's with a capital D, just so you know. :lmao:

Wonderful TR I read it all today so I am caught up and cant wait for the next installment.
Thank you very much!! Thanks for reading.

great update! i am an animal lover so th AK is definetly one of my favorites. i could just watch the tigers all day. the EE picture is great :). its true, EE is not for eveyone, but at least now u can say that you rode it. the safari is one of my favorite rides in WDW. the annoying group of people can be very frustraiting. on my last trip, there were these women sitting next to me and every time there was an animal on there side of the truck they would jump up to try and get pictures and always get im my way. very annoying!

the little spot you found near the Tree of Life is fabulous. your pictures are great too! cant wait to read more :thumbsup2
I love the little spot I found, it was so calm and peaceful there and I could really enjoy the scenary of AK, which I haven't really done on a trip before. It was really nice.

If only I hadn't decided to ruin my relaxing with a trip on EE afterwards.

Yes, it is a very valid reason. I forgot to mention that I was so scared that I couldn't even make my little eeping noises as Marc calls them. I was too terrified! Plus I couldn't move my head,it was suctioned to the back of the seat the whole ride.

Marc did lie to you...they took out the Yeti! It's just a shadow on the wall now. Well unless enough people have complained and they put him back in. :confused3 He does look like he's going to hit you in the head when he's there.
I saw the Yeti when he was just a picture but Marc said there was another part with the Yeti. I don't know, he could be full of it. :lmao:

They say that pictures are worth a thousand words well all of yours would be related to the word TERRIFIED! WOW, you held on for dear life!!

YAY for a great morning at AK!!! And a DIS meet to boot!! That is so awesome!!!! You took some great shots on the safari!! NICE!!
I was completely terrified. I couldn't believe how much I was shaking to be honest.

Jackie, I just knew you would enjoy this update. I thought of you after and don't know how you sometimes ride it either. It's just way too scary for me. I'm am not an EE person that is for sure! We do need to travel together, I will admit, sometimes I became bored waiting for Marc to be done with his thrill rides.

Isn't the baby elephant so cute? He was adorable, he was this little fuzzy guy. So cute!

You are brave for trying and will now know to stay far, far away in the future!!! The only ride I refuse to ever, ever ride again is Mission: Space, orange side - SOOO scary! I've never been claustrophobic until I experienced that ride! :rotfl:

I won't try Mission:Space either, even though Marc said it was awesome. No, thank you!

Noooooooooooooo front car for me!

I was thrilled to see tiger action!

I love Stellaluna!! Did you know that the actress who plays Meredith on Grey's Anatomy named her daughter Stella Luna?? Hehehe.

Oh my heavens that EE picture is just priceless! It perfectly sums up your two very different experiences on the same ride! :rotfl:

Lovely pictures from the rest of your meandering so far as well.
Marc wants me to frame that picture in our living room. I don't know, just looking at it freaks me out. :rotfl2:

Okay LL, I just really enjoye all those AK updates! Especially all the fab photos of the monkeys and the tigers! And I have to say, while I am NOT laughing at you, that photo on EE? , that there is something funny. :rotfl2: Your face well both your faces, PRICELESS... :goodvibes

I can say I did it and that I'm never doing it again for sure. I'm just glad that Marc likes the thrill rides because I know I won't be able to do them with any kids we might have.

OH - and very cool to the impromptu DIS meet! How great that you all got to ride safari together!
Yes, I don't think you properly understood at our meet how much I hated EE. :rotfl2:

I think I was in such a good mood that I just wanted to make Marc happy and try a scary thrill ride but boy I have learned my lesson. I won't be so generous in the future. :lmao:

At least you gave EE a try and since you now know you don't like it you don't have to ride it again. I love EE, but can't do it more than twice in one day as the backwards part get a little disconcerting. That is why Disney is so great. Something for everyone. Hope you still enjoyed your day at AK.
My body felt a little tender after EE, probably a combination of the ride and my body being so tense throughout it!

Great trip report! Especially good documentation of Animal Kingdom. I like the pictures of you and your husband together, you look like a really nice couple. I hope I manage to get some good pictures of my husband and I together when we go, I'm not very experienced in asking other people to take pictures!
Thank you! Most of our pictures of us together are at the photopass spots. They will always take a picture with your camera if you ask! :goodvibes

Well, I can say I have ridden every ride at Disney at least once except for Rock n' Roller Coaster and Mission:Space, and I don't plan on fixing that. I always think I am going to be all big and brave and ride some of them again, but I always seem to chicken out. They are scary! ::yes::

Yes, sometimes it is boring waiting -- we could shop together while we waited on the rest of them. :thumbsup2

I guess I missed your last update so I got a double dose today! :thumbsup2 Sorry about the laundry/pool meltdown... my theory is that you have to have at least one & the best parts of the trip can't happen until after the meltdown. It usually happens that way for me anyways! :rolleyes1

Your AK day sounds great. Fun DIS meet! :cool1:

Well, at least you can say you conquered EE! :thumbsup2 And you never have to ride it again. :rotfl:

My cousins did that to me with the ToT; they just wouldn't give up, so I rode it once. Hated it with a fiery passion but now I never have to do it again. :worship:
