We Invite You to Relax as the Dining Room Proudly Presents a TR! *The End 12/24 Pg44*

Oh no :guilty: I'm so sorry you are having such a miserable morning! How awful to have to hear that young girl say you are being rude!! Heat and sickness...sounds like it's time for a break already!

At least you got in double Soarin and LWTL. Looking forward to hearing aobut a better afternoon

I remember that day - it was VERY HOT! One of the hottest of the trip I think. We had a pool/hotel day and then hit MK later in the early evening, so it wasn't too bad. I agree with you - Epcot is the WORST in the heat! There is zero shade. There is some air conditioned rides in Future World, but the World Showcase is miserable.

I'm so sorry you had such a rough morning. That CM was way outta line!! :headache:

And the whole ordeal at Rose & Crown. :sad2: I sure hope the day improves!

Hilarious about Marc breaking the rule!!! Glad he didn't get held back or anything - and 2 rides on Soarin'!!! :yay:

My mom had a list of boy names for me yesterday when I called her. She is just not giving up on this thing. It's really driving me crazy. When she was like that on my Birthday weekend I gave her very good reasons for why we are waiting but she didn't want to hear any of it. :headache:

Oh no. Not cool. Ugh.

oh you poor thing! I hate that you couldn't enjoy your meal. Yuck. I'm sorry it was so hot. It has been crazy hot this September. Up until yesterday every September day here has been 92 or higher. And worse in Florida. Usually we have plenty of 80s days by now. I love your living with the land pictures. I'm with you on Captain EO. I remember skipping it as a kid and while I realize Michael Jackson was super important to music and there are plenty of songs I like I am just not going to pretend to be a big fan just because he died. I guess I would try in sans little kids like you did but I know I would walk out feeling like you did. I'm hoping Honey I shrink the Audience is back because Abs almost peed her pants she laughed so hard at that. She still talks about it. And while it, too, needs to be updated I would prefer it. They should get James Cameron to do something in there.
I'm glad you got a good soarin ride the second time. And way to go Marc. Break those Disney rules. Well, I say he deserved a break with the way you were treated later on about the bandaids and sitting.
I'm glad I saw Captain EO once, it's just not a must do for me.

I find Epcot to be the worst place to wait for rope drop on a hot day. No shade.
Soarin' twice
Oh I'm so sorry you and Marc got sick :sad2
Epcot is way too hot, I just don't enjoy Epcot when it's hot like that.

and I love the park bag. Do you think it is fairly water-proof? I was all excited about my VB hipster and then I sat out in pouring rain at cheerleading yesterday. THe kind of rain you get at Disney sometimes. And it is soaked. All of my stuff is soaked. Yuck. I may get your bag or something else that it plasticy.
I do think it is fairly water proof, you wouldn't have a problem with that bag in the rain. I have had good luck with my vera in the rain but only because I usually have an umbrella over me so it gets covered.

Awwww, Leslie.
So sorry you weren't able to enjoy your food at R&C. It did look very good!
I know how much you were looking forward to it!
I can only imagine how hard it was for you to take care of yourself in the bathroom with that little girl putting her nose in your personal business! What a snot!:headache:

AND that heat! UGH!
Thank goodness for air conditioning.
We enjoyed Capt. EO and the AC was just perfect!

I'm hoping things will turn around for you!
I was very frustrated with the whole lunch thing. I should have ordered differently but it's funny, something you have been eating for weeks can all of a sudden give you a problem with the band. It's very hard to deal with sometimes.

I really didn't enjoy that little girl and with the dirty look her mother had given me earlier, it was just a frustrating situation.

I'm so sorry Leslie. Even though don't have a band I know all about having to visit the facilities which I'm eating. If I eat too fast it all has to come back! It is the worst feeling ever. And then you feel so bad when the server keeps asking what's wrong with the food. I feel your pain!

I hope things got better!
It is the worst feeling, plus maybe it's just in my head but sometimes I think the servers are disappointed when you don't order more. We ordered a lot of apps and side items and not so many entrees this trip and I think they treat you differently when you don't order the "big" ticket items.

Ohhhhh Leslie  Not a very magical start to the day....what is it with Epcot?!!
 to Marc and his shortcut!!! He got the job done and wasn't even aware that he could have had a short stint in Disney jail!!
Mmmmm that Yorkshire pudding looked delicious. I am a traditionalist with just gravy and butter but that looked like a yummy choice!! So sorry about what happened in the bathroom....what a little brat! My friend had to leave the table 3x at The Wave and I knew she felt uncomfortable and needed to. I hope the day got better from there

Tracy
She was a brat! It was so rude, she was old enough to know better. I didn't dare say anything because I thought it would make the situation worse.

I'm thinking minimal time in EPCOT is going to be okay for January LOL!! Of course it should be cooler!!

UGHH you are right nothing is worse than a HOTTTT day in EPCOT, especially as overwhelming as that park can be!!!

I'm sorry lunch wasn't such a great experience. The whole bathroom thing is just  to me...the little girl butting in like that. :sad2:
the mother and her comments...UGH!!! And what was up with the rude CM...really?????????

Hoping the end of the day is better than the start!
See, Epcot didn't bother me last January but it was much cooler. I think I just need Epcot in cooler weather. I can handle FW but put me in WS and I melt down.

I'm :rotfl2: over Marc. How was he supposed to know, right? :goodvibes

I'm sorry lunch was such a bad experience. I hope the day gets better!
It was so funny, he felt bad after I told him he was a Disney Rebel! :lmao:

Oh Leslie! I'm sooo sorry you such a less then magical day at Epcot! The whole getting stuck and getting sick thing sounds awful not to mention terrible comments from the girl!! I hope you didn't have anymore terrible experiences!

I love that Marc went down the wrong stair case! DH would have done the same thing!
I think the Rose & Crown dinner was the worse experience food wise, but I did have struggles throughout the whole trip.

So sorry to hear that so much has gone wrong so far. :guilty: I hope that things get better.

I don't recall that pond on Living with the Land either. It looks nice.

I'm so happy that you got to meet Mr. Penguin! Love the picture with those gorgeous clolors and Spaceship Earth and the fountain in the background. Fantastic!
I really tried hard not to let things get me down but sometimes you just can't help it even if you are at Disney.

I had a lovely meet with Mr. Penguin. He was quite cute!

Sounds like a rough start! I can't imagine that whole scene at R&C. Since when is someone getting sick in a restroom considered rude? Like you could help it in the slightest. Some people I swear!

And the CM's behavior. I noticed this too. When they reprimand you like a child, it's really frustrating! I understand they are there sometimes to keep things running smoothly, keep us safe etc, but since when did they have to be so rude about it!!

ARGH!

Sincerely hoping your trip gets better and quickly!!

I know, seriously! I was down in the dumps by the time we left Rose & Crown.

She totally did treat me like a child! It was so annoying, she saw that I was trying to put a bandaid on!

Wow, that's a bummer!
Let me just say that you are WAY nicer than me! I understand why that woman left her daughter in the bathroom - probably to ditch her! If she said word one to me - my answer would have been - It's rude to talk to strangers in a bathroom stall! Dang!
Pile that on with nasty CM (whom I also probably would have sassed) and flash pictures in Soarin? Okay - why do people want to take pictures of Soarin? You are supposed to be enjoying the ride! I think it's so different than other rides and it never crossed my mind to even have a camera out!
Marc- I'd probably have done the same thing! Sometimes I just don't see why people aren't going the shortest way? DOH! I've never been into the Land with the RD crowd, so I wouldn't have known either!
We struggled with the heat too when we were there at the end of July - We tolerated it better than I thought we would. But Epcot is definitely the HOTTTTTEST!! I felt like an egg on the sidewalk some of the time!

I hope your day (and trip) improved.
I wish I had thought quick enough to say something like that.

That is a good analogy, egg on a sidewalk. That is how I felt too, or a snowman melting into the pavement. :rotfl2:

I know what you mean about the heat. I thought I was going to bake while standing in the Epcot bag check line, too!

Okay, well Marc's rule breaking wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Too funny that he just thought everyone was waiting on the escalator.

I don't remember the pond in Living with the Land, either. :confused3

Ugh, to the feet problems and the mean CM at Captain EO. :headache: Some people have a real problem with power. :sad2:

Love the picture of you and the penguin from Mary Poppins! Very cute!

Oh no! I am so sorry you were sick at lunch! Can't believe that girl in the stall beside you! So not what you needed. Although, I must confess I laughed when she said she was going to tell her mommy. Whatever, kid, you go right ahead on that one.
No, it wasn't bad. I was embarassed though, hoping DISers in the crowd wouldn't recognize my rule breaking husband. :rotfl2:

Seriously, go tell your mommy. I was so over that situation.

Oh Leslie... Sorry about the food problems you were having! I hope it didn't continue through the whole trip.

Flash photos are a huge pet peeve of mine at Disney! It just ruins the magic of so many rides. I really noticed it a lot during our trip last April/May. I don't know if more people were doing it or if I was just more aware of it. :confused3 I can't imagine the flash going off during Soarin'! :headache:

Sounds like it was crazy hot! I've been a little worried about the heat for my trip next weekend. Now I'm more worried about the rain...

I hope the day improved for you guys!
Flash photos don't bother me if it happens once but then you get those people who do it 50 times during Spaceship Earth...that gets annoying!

I know what you mean about the heat. I live in Georgia and it has been sooooo hot for the past month or so. I mean like 95-98 for the past few weeks. I went to WDW the first week of June and it got so hot I was miserable. Epcot is so big and has so much walking the heat, combined with you getting sick must have really sucked. That little girl in the bathroom was soooo rude. I cannot even imagine any of my kids saying that. Mine would have asked if you were ok.
I hope your trip gets better (I am sure it does).
It was really awful. It did make me feel better though that the CMs were feeling it too, made me feel like less of a wimp. :rotfl2:

I couldn't believe the little girl either. It sounded like she was just playing in the sink in that stall too. It was so annoying. It also made me incredibly paranoid for the rest of my trip.

I'm so sorry about your bad lunch at R&C. I'm sure it's quite a process adjusting to a new way of eating, especially in public. I hope it gets easier for you as the trip progresses!

And that little girl - oh my goodness! :headache:
It is a process and like I said before we haven't been out to eat in public in MONTHS. Not since my last surgery in April and or since I've had this must restriction. It's really hard.

The heat was really getting to me add that on not being able to eat, I was ready to get back to the resort for sure!

I remember that day - it was VERY HOT! One of the hottest of the trip I think. We had a pool/hotel day and then hit MK later in the early evening, so it wasn't too bad. Oh no. Not cool. Ugh.
It was so hot that day!! Miserable, really.

LL I'm so sorry you had such a rough first day at Epcot. I always find that horrible heat never starts the day off right. The food issues would have just wrapped up my day. Ugh!

LL I'm so sorry you had such a rough first day at Epcot. I always find that horrible heat never starts the day off right. The food issues would have just wrapped up my day. Ugh!

It was a really rough day and it totally turned me off from Epcot, in that type of heat at least!!

Oh Leslie all I can say that the only thing worse than not being able to drink alcohol while at Disney world would be not being able to eat. I would absolutely hate that and I don't blame you one bit for being frustrated to tears. It's got to be so hard to see that lovely food and not be able to tolerate eating it. Plus be so hot, hundry, and thirsty.

Up until lunch time I think you were having a great monring. I know it was sooooooo stinking hot because the heat was definitely getting to me. But after lunch everyday I was just ready to hit the AC permanently.

One nice thing about BLT, on several occasions there was the most wonderful breeze off the lake. It really helped with the heat.

Towards the end of our trip we experienced a lovely breeze at POR, but not that day let me tell you.

I know a lot of my frustration had to do with the heat, and add not being able to eat on top of that...well I had hit my breaking point for sure!

Monday September 6th, continued.

I left off with me feeling pretty miserable after attempting to eat lunch at Rose & Crown. I will be honest with you, I almost skipped over all of my eating problems in the Trip Report. I talked about it with Marc and he encouraged me to be honest and talk about it. I hate being Debbie Downer but I much prefer to be honest about all aspects of our trip.

We left Rose & Crown, our original plan had been to explore World Showcase and try to stay for Illuminations. It was probably around 1PM at this point and there was no way that I would be staying at Epcot until 9PM. I was exhausted, cranky and hungry. We decided to use our Test Track fastpasses and then assess how I was feeling afterwards. I slowly drank my pomegranate lemonade the nice R&C CM gave to me, just getting some fluid into me made me perk up a little bit.

We had a wonderful ride on Test Track. We were in the front row with another man and one man in the back. It was a weird configuration but it worked. All three of the guys laughed at me when I made my squealing noises though Marc pointed out to me the noise I make are more like chirps. I guess when I get scared, I chirp. Go figure. We were both in much better moods but the heat was still getting to us. We decided to stop in Mousegears because I wanted to show Marc something...I can't tell you what it is but we didn't buy it. It must not have been that exciting. I was also looking for a Daisy Duck hat for Megs, Megansmom, I forgot to text you but I looked all over and they don't even have the Donald ones anymore, just these hats with Donalds legs. Sorry!

We did take these two hat pictures.

After perusing Mousegears, we headed towards the exit with a stop at one of our favorite rides, Spaceship Earth. I'm ashamed to admit this but it was our ONE and ONLY ride on Spaceship Earth on our 11 day trip!!

I still can't believe it!

Even though it was hot, there was a beautiful sky.

We made our way to the bus, we waited probably about 10 minutes or so for one to arrive and we made our way to Pop Century. I did have a very nice lady comment on my glasses and how much she liked them. That made me feel good.

When we got back to our room, I had a Birthday card and towel animal waiting. Marc was kind enough to take these next pictures, I collapsed on the bed.

On our way out of World Showcase, I stopped at the pin cart in the UK pavilion and found a Mary Poppins pin! I was very excited.

DSC00275.jpg

And these are the pins I had traded for that day.

DSC00279.jpg

I bought this at Mousegears when I had bought the bags. It's in my cubicle at work now.
DSC00280.jpg

After we rested for a few minutes we got our bathing suits on and went for a swim. It was nice to swim and listen to the songs that are in that section, I love that they were decade appropriate to the 80's and 90's section. We swam for a bit and watched the big gray clouds roll in. While we were swimming we decided instead of heading back to Epcot or to a park that we would go to Downtown Disney for dinner.

It started to rain as soon as we got on the Bus. POURING. I had my umbrella, I told Marc we should buy him an umbrella at Downtown Disney. Before we left he had insisted he didn't want one. So our first stop at DTD was World Of Disney. Marc wanted to see if they had a rain jacket. We found a great blue Disney jacket, it was $50! Really expensive which made me hesistant but I knew we'd get my AP discount plus Marc promised once we got home I could have it. Score! I knew it would make a great jacket for January. We bought his jacket and headed to Wolfgang Puck Express.

The menu has been cut WAY back. I was sad. There had been so many great things on it in January that I had wanted to try. No more mushu pocket, no more bbq chicken quesadilla, and lots of other things were missing too. We ordered the bbq chicken pizza and ate there to get out of the rain. The pizza was good but not as good at the bbq chicken quesadilla that I had in January.

I forgot to take a picture until we had taken slices.
DSC00281.jpg

I ate very very slowly. I also took our itinerary with park hours to distract myself. This became my meal time trick, distract myself with something so I'd eat slower. A lot of the time at home, I'm either watching tv while I eat or reading and it works for me because it makes me eat slower. We both had one slice and boxed the rest up to take back to the room.

On the way to the pin store, we talked to one of the DVC guys. Silly me wanted to trade pins with him and then of course we got the whole DVC spiel. Marc took the paperwork and decided to put our names in the system for a tour later on. Have I created a monster?

Then we went to the pin store and I bought a wonderful Casey at the Bat pin. One of my very favorite cartoons. They had a bunch of pins from the older cartoons. I was searching for a Ferninand the Bull pin as that was my other favorite but no luck.

It was still raining and we were tired so we didn't stay long. Just long enough to head over to Ghiradellhi. We both ordered ice cream.

Marc ordered the peanut butter one in a waffle bowl.
DSC00283.jpg

I ordered the Haight Ashberry one.
DSC00284.jpg

Mine was already melting all over the place when they placed it on the table. I started to eat, it was really delicious BUT I got stuck again. On ice cream! I honestly think it was the whipped cream, it was so thick and there was a lot of it. I had tears in my eyes. I didn't think Ghiradellhi had a bathroom so I went outside to find one, left Marc at the table.

I can't even remember where I went for the bathroom but it was really far away and it was pouring and I had forgotten my umbrella. The whole time I'm power walking to the bathroom I am telling myself not to be sick before I get there.

After taking care of business, I went back to ghiradellhi and didn't attempt to eat any more of my ice cream. I asked them to take it back, which killed me since we had spent $20 on two ice creams. The manager came over and asked if I was okay. I told her I was just not feeling well. She offered to give me my money back, I told her it wasn't necessary but she insisted...it was super nice of her but it just made me feel worse.

I was done. Let's recap shall we...for the entire day, I had eaten two bites of yorkshire pudding, a few bites of fish and mashed potatoes, one slice of pizza (didn't eat the crust) and whipped cream.

I was hungry. Especially since I only really digested the pizza, everything else had made me sick!

Marc felt so bad for me because he knows how it feels. We decided to leave.

There was a crazy crowd for the bus going back to Pop and it was just a mass of people, no line. Finally one of the CMs came over and organized people into one line. I rode back in complete silence, I was starting to worry that eating would be a struggle the entire trip. Once we got back to Pop, I told Marc I had to eat something, my hands had started to shake since I was so hungry. We went to food court, I looked around. I knew I had eaten chicken nuggets last night. Marc told me to try them. I knew I needed protein which is why I didn't want to eat the pizza. I asked them if they could give me just chicken nuggets and they did, it was about $3 cheaper than the meal with fries.

When we got back to the room, I ate them so super slowly and just tried to stay calm. I was able to eat them, no problem! Which led me to believe that half of my problem was the pressure of eating in the resturant setting. I was determined to have a better eating day the next day.

Coming up...
Leslie is a winner!

oh goodness! I want to give you a big hug. I'm so sorry about the eating dilemmas. Can you remind me, you had your band tightened when? That is why the difference between this trip and last trip, correct?
And thank you so much for the honesty in your report. I know it would have been easier to tell it the way you wanted it to go. I know I don't think of you as a Debbie Downer. I know how much you love WDW, how excited you get about stuff that I walk right by and I'll always see you like that. Your stories aren't going to change our minds. We read TRs to hear the good and the bad and feel like we were right along with you. And this is what it was like. Not telling us doesn't unmake it from having happened.
I would be curious, at the end, what your thoughts about having this surgery are and what advice you would give people who have had the surgery when they travel to Disney.

Now, I am so sad to hear that WPE limited their menu. Boo. Do you know if they limited their breakfast menu too. We are going to go there for breakfast one morning and I thought we might hit up there for dinner one night as well but now we may go visit the Earl or Cooke's.

When you have the lapband put in, you have "fills". I have an 11cc band. When they put the band in, it has no liquid in it. My first fill was 3ccs I think after that they do 1/2 to 1cc, so they slowly fill it as you need it to get to that optimum point of restriction where you can get 3-4oz of protein and not be hungry until your next meal. I had a lot of problem with my fills( due to the location of my port, they could not access it) from the time I had the band put in August 2009, until I had a port relocation in April 2010. Up until April, my restriction wasn't good because I didn't want to go for fills since it was such an ordeal. I had it a bit but I knew it wasn't enough. So I've had two fills since my port relocation and I'm at what they call the "sweet spot", for me it's at about 9.5cc in my band. In January, I think I was at 5.5ccs, so that is quite a difference. I don't need to eat a whole lot to feel full. There are what they called "slider" foods like mashed potatoes and soup that slide through your band so you try to stay away from those because that defeats the purpose of the band.

Here is a visual for you.
lap_band_gbs1.jpg

Even with all the struggles I had at Disney, I don't regret getting the surgery for one second. It is the very best thing I have ever done for myself....and I had an extra surgery...not everyone needs port relocation, Marc has never had a problem with the surgeon accessing his port. Having the band is a learning lesson and things that you have eaten 100 times before...well they can give you a problem the 101st time you try to eat it. I think a lot of people focus on what you have to give up when you get the band, but really it depends. When I went to the first informational meeting they said I wouldn't be able to eat lobster because a lot of people have problems with that. Well, this summer I ate lobster once a week almost! I love it, you just never know what is going to work for you until you have the band. I knew if I couldn't eat lobster, that it was worth giving up so I could get healthy.

I also know that for me when I get stressed out that my band is tighter and I get stuck more easily. Now that could be completely in my head but I know if I'm stressed out at work and I try to eat while I'm upset, I'm going to get stuck. My nutritionist says that she has been told that by other band patients.

One thing that I did while at Disney after my Epcot day was to make sure to eat something small in the morning. The first time I eat during the day no matter what time it is, I have more restriction so I ate something small like a mini clif bar that we had brought just to get ready for the sit down lunches we would have later. That helped. I also changed what I ordered...it wasn't perfect but it did get better as we went along.

I'm sure you didn't want that huge explanation but there you go. :rotfl: I forgot to add that on this night, I believe I called Jen to have her look at WDW menus for me to help figure out the places that I could order soup from. :thumbsup2

As far as the WPE menu for breakfast, they seemed to have a lot still. Omlettes, breakfast pizza and such. The food at WPE is worth a try, everything I've had has been very good. I just liked the quesadilla more than the pizza.

And thank you for being so understanding, it means a lot.

Ohh Leslie
So sorry for the continued issues with eating. I am glad that you included what happened though....it is your real life and a real problem that you experienced. :grouphug: I am sure it was extra frustrating because we all spend so much time obsessing over our ADR's and where we are going to eat :sad2: I think when you fly it may get tighter too for a bit due to the pressure :confused3 and that may take a day or two in itself to sort out.

 being a chirper ;)

Oh and I love your Mary Poppins pin!! :goodvibes

Looks like you had a sip of the DVC kool aid...that is where I drank it too was DTD...they took me right over to SSR in a golf cart and about an hour later my belly was full of kool aid and I was a member. Of course I had every intention of doing it sometime on that trip and everything went perfect.

Tracy

LL, I'm hoping the eating issues get better. Don't worry at all about being completely honest. No one's trips are perfect, and it's the honesty that makes the trip reports real. Don't forget, I'm the one who came home from her December trip a Disney Scrooge. No trip will be perfect, it's making the most of them that matters.

No, that explanation was what I was looking for. Now I get it. And all you need to do is look at your pictures to realize that it has been worth it. And when people say that surgery is the easy way out I will point them to your thread and tell them that it is a lot of hard work!

I was behind, first the pics really show all the weight you have both lost, CONGRATS!!
I am so sorry that you are having all the food issues. No one should have to be sick at Disney, Big hugs
Marc looked very cute in the alien hat!
Great pins, we always trade with the DVC guys and my 4 yr old loves to yell "Welcome Home" to them :)

I really appreciate your honesty and openness about your eating problems! I know this is different, but on our last trip I had tummy issues one day - REALLY bad tummy issues. For the rest of the trip I felt like I had to be really careful about what I ate. I stuck with very bland foods & not a lot of it. I was so scared I was going to have another problem. That's something I'll always remember from that trip & I'm sure this is something you'll always remember from this trip so thanks for sharing!

I also appreciated your detailed description... one question though... where does the food get "stuck"? Going through the band from the small part of stomach to the big part? :confused3

I am glad you are being honest about your eating troubles, LL! It helps the rest of us that have less-than-stellar moments on our trips realize it will be okay to reveal them.

Who knew you chirped when you were scared? :lmao: I want that on video -- must remember to tell Jen to capture that for us in January! :rotfl:

Oh, that Ghiradelli ice cream and what a cruel twist of fate that you were unable to eat it. I want to cry right now for you over that. Can you tell I am starving and would gladly trade one of my toes for a Haight Ashberry right now?

I am glad you were able to eat some chicken nuggets without any problems.

Love the hat pictures, your life in the future, and the love birds towel animals!

Tracy
Yes, I've heard of the flying thing making your band tighter but I couldn't tell if that was it or not.

I love my Mary Poppins pin! I never seem them around so I was very happy with my purchases.

They do get better, not 100% but I make it work. I thought of your December trip while I was down there actually!

No, that explanation was what I was looking for. Now I get it. And all you need to do is look at your pictures to realize that it has been worth it. And when people say that surgery is the easy way out I will point them to your thread and tell them that it is a lot of hard work!
Glad that the explanation helped! It really isn't the easy way out, it's a lot of hard work!

Thank you!! It stinks being sick at Disney. He did look cute in the alien hat, one of my favorites from the trip!

:confused3
I felt this way about my blisters from my May '09 trip. It made me feel like such a downer.

How can I describe being stuck? It more of a stuck feeling, it feels like you have swallowed a bowling ball and the only way to make yourself feel better is to get the food out of there and since you can force it down, it has to come up. The food gets stuck in the smaller pouch, basically it can't pass the actually band into the larger part. It's not a pleasant feeling at all.

I am glad you are being honest about your eating troubles, LL! It helps the rest of us that have less-than-stellar moments on our trips realize it will be okay to reveal them.

Yes, I chirp. I should have gotten Marc to record it, I'm sure Jen will love to record me in January.

I was so upset about the ice cream! My $10 ice cream in case you forgot how expensive it is. Oy. I've never had a problem with ice cream before and it really upset me. I can give up a lot of things but NOT ice cream. :lmao:

 Dang.
I am also glad you are sharing it all with us. I can totally understand that now you are stressing more about your eating, and that just makes things worse. I am guessing from your tone and replies that things do improve some. I hope you still were able to make this a relaxing trip for both of you.
I wouldn't want you to starve, so I'm glad you were able to at least get some protein. It seems we all (DISers) get so excited about the ADRs and restaurants we go a little overboard, and then not being able to eat really is awful.

The bad thing about when it's hot like that, and then it rains, the rain does nothing to cool the air down. It just gets more humid!!
