We haven't narrowed it down at all!!!!

We stayed at CBR in January and loved it. So now DH thinks he might like to stay there again on our next trip in Jan 2005 - cause he knows the resort!

But then we thought we might like to stay somewhere different - so we narrowed (???????) it down to

Cabanas at CSR
Alligator Bayou at POR
or POFQ
or back to CBR

I know it's subjective but as anyone stayed at more than one of the above?

There is just DH and I. Jan really is too cold for us to swim, but we enjoy a hot-tub. And DH would like to rent a sail boat for a bit this time round. We weren't overly keen on the food court at CBR - the choices were not spectacular, but we loved the size of the room. We had a king bed.

DH and I stayed in CBR for our honeymoon and loved it. If you are looking to stay somewhere else this time, you may want to check out POR. My mom and I stayed here in Oct. 2002. We had a great time and I kept saying how I wished DH was there with us cause it was such a romantic setting. The mansions are gorgeous and you cannot beat the boat ride to DTD. We stayed in Alligator Bayou in building 15, which is very close to the food court. It was so nice to be able to wake up and take a stroll by the riverside. Very relaxing!

Remember that if you choose POR or CSR that you can request the Alligator Bayou Section or the Cabana Section but that they are requests only. You need to be comfortable getting assigned one of the other areas at the resort as well.
My opinion is that you should try something new. I liked POR and CSR and CBR more than POFQ. While the theme is different at CSR it is a similar feel to CBR because it is arrayed around the lake. POR would give you a much different feeling as there are loads more trees and less water.

That's okay we realise they are only requests. We would ultimately be happy whereever.

We won't make our requests too specific.....non smoking and cabanas/AB. But we wont be requesting a certain room or even a certain building.

So far I think we are now down to CBR/CSR and POR. I think we have decided against POFQ.

Dh and I stayed to CSR for our anniversary. We loved it. The resort is so beautiful, we felt like we were at a deluxe. Definitely has a more adult feel and the pool was amazing.

Whatever you decide now, with a trip that far away I am sure you will change your mind at least 5 times, I know I would!

I have it narrowed down in my head for our dream '05 trip. But I've also watched this board and mousesavers and would hate to pay rack rate. SO, I'm going to list my top 5. I'm going to make DH study and come up with his top 5; then combine to make "our" top 5. Then I'll make our reservations. THEN, when/if rates codes come out, I'll have my top 5 list on the phone, so if we can't switch our ressies to a code, I'll just go down the list until I can get a code.

My husband and I stayed at POR for our honeymoon. Unfortunately, it fell in the two weeks after September 11,2001. What a time to be at Disney World....it was nearly empty and almost eerie. However, the POR was so romantic and beautiful, we were able to focus on trying to have a honeymoon...we would definitely recommend POR to anyone.
