We Have Returned

OK ~ I missed it . . . where did you post your review?

Thanks!

I would not call it a review, just some observations. I found the dining room where the hidden microphones were supposed to be interesting with a lot of curio.
It is a piece of history that had Walt's input and it not a knock-off. I could close my eyes an see what it may have been like when the master himself would be entertaining the dignataries(sp) of the day. To me, very much a honor to dine there.

All in all it was an excellent trip. We averaged 22 rides and a show a day and the trick always is go early. Thanks for reading my post and for your well wishes and support.

Jack,
Funball and I will be going later this month. I'm hoping to hit everyone in each park over a couple days. Plus the Etickets 4 or 5 times.

I saw that you are hooked into a trip together. We did so many rides multiple times it was hard to get out of the park mode after getting back.

When I was young one of my favorite feelings was being in the car on the freeway or going to bed and still be able to feel my body moving. Weeeeeeeee!

ohh we are soo going to have fun we have a few surprise for each other.. :)

Hey there, Blackjack, I know you were really looking forward to your stay at VGC, and I hope you were not disappointed in any thing at all. I haven't been around the DL threads much lately, so if you posted a review, I missed it. Did you by chance do one? Hoping to read your thoughts and observations on your villa.

Really not a reviewer but it was wonderful. I can not think of a better place to stay. The w/d was used everyday, along with the kitchen/fridge/microwave. Wife use the tub and I love the shower. The view was superb and lots of room for the four of us. The only thing I could have asked for would have been that the two oldest kids could have been with us but they had to work.
Where they put the trash room on the 1st floor makes no sense to me. We were treated like VIP's. We received 3 signed personalized Mickey/Minnie photo's all different for my birthday and anniversary. And I agree the lobby was ice cold but there were still people camped out everywhere.
Never did hit the pool since we have one at home no one was interested. With the Villas popularity might have been my 1st and last stay.

Points are still avaliable for March use year! ;)
OK..I think you were doing a Club 33 review somewhere, but I missed it..any link?

Both daughters got ill yesterday evening so we did not make it to AG or WOC, they are better this AM, headed to MM in abit and the day goes from there. The one daughter who has arthritis foot has also been bothering her... She walks all over the U of W campus but down here it wants to flair up. More later.

Random non-Disney related info - our friend's brother, Drew Schaefer, is the Huskie's starting center (played tackle last year).

The person pushing the stroller was fast jogging and went to zig around a person and then she zagged right in Alex. I complained to security, she continued on and I finally caught her and then I filed a report with security and we took Alex to the have the ding checked and stitched. What a foul mouth this woman had................whats the world coming to.
I cost me time and I had to pay the bill, I will get the money back, but security asked what I wanted done and I asked for them to be removed from the park. There are a lot of stupid people who come here and do not attempt to play. I could have punched the male person out but I am getting older and am trying to be more tactful.

Alex has had JRA/RA and is on chemotherapy for the disease process, she does not need any more problems than she has.

Just because you have a ticket does not give anyone the right to be here if they do not want to play fair.

Even though your daughter had to get stiches, glad to hear it wasn't anything more serious to bring the trip down. Also, happy to hear Disney was on your side and helped you out when this happen. Too bad the stroller was too selfish and couldn't act like an adult with you, Disney security, and around her child.

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes. I really do not celebrate except for the fact that I am in Disneyland every year. Another great looking day out there. I do have BB reservations at 1610, so that should top off the day for dining.

Everyone have a great day...I think Walt said " I may have to grow older but I do not have to grow up." or something like that.

Jack

Happy Belated B-day - what a great way to spend your day! And love that Walt quote - I definitely believe in that one!

It's not quite sold out yet, you could scoop yourself up some points! I know you talked about considering points in another thread a several week ago, did you look further into DVC? If you decide DVC is not for you, maybe one of us DIS'ers will be able to share our joy and rent you some points sometime in the future! :grouphug:

Thank you for you kind comments. The trip was most excellent even with a few bumps.
I have kids that go to the U of W and WSU so I go back and forth to the games.

Only just caught up with ur trip report - the tale about your DD and teh mean woman with the stroller really incensed me - glad you didn't let it spoil your vacation. Still can't believe how some people behave in Disney :scared1:

The closest we got to Club 33 was inside the lobby on the Walking in Walts Footsteps Tour - very good guide BTW - kept seeing her on subesquent days - she remembered us and waved - mind you we were there for a while. Even the HoJo's kept saying - Are u still here? I think (hope) they were joking:goodvibes

It's interesting to me that you met Walt - how/when was this and how old were you at the time? You don't look that old to me, Jack

The first time I met him I was 9, uncle was a producer for Disney at that time and was responsible for a great deal of wildlife footage Walt used. The last time I and Larry(uncle) had lunch with him was Sept 1965 while I was attending film school at USC. I had the opportunity go to the Burbank studios often when I was visiting California as a youngster and then a teen. I am in the mid 60's now but fairly well preserved. My avatar was taken when I was working in Afghanistan at age 58. The clothing and cap hides a lot. Thanks for reading and have a great day.
