My DD5 is doing Adventures in Cooking in the am and then we thought to head to AK. We really only need to see the safari, lion king show , and tours around the tree of life. What order should we do this in? We should be arriving around 12:30.

I would also advise taking in the Tarzan Rocks show...it is way better than I first expected, almost on par with the Lion King.

Assuming you're going while things are still crowded, I would check the Lion King show schedule ahead of time, send a fast member of the party to get a safari fastpass, while the other 2 explore the tree of life. (Provided the fastpass time allows you to also see the Lion King). I would take some time to explore the amazing little trails.

If it's a cool day and the boneyard is open, your DD would also love it.

I really think that AK is a full day park, but I know that others differ in that opinion. It would be helpful to know a couple of things in order to help. So, when do you plan on visiting WDW? Do you intend to catch lunch at AK? Do you have any interest in catching the parade? Maggie

I would highly recommend doing the Boneyard, maybe before the tree of life, but AFTER the other attractions. If your DD is like my 4 year old, you won't be able to get her out of there. Definitely hit the Lion King show. It's very kid and even kept the 2 year old's attention.

We are going to AK on 11/9 (Tues). We would spend more time there, but the afternoon is all we have. It will only be the 2 of us, so I didn't know if it was worth the walk to get various fastpasses.

FotLK runs hourly shows usually after noon. Try to go there first. If you can't see the 1pm show, get a FP for the next one and maybe do some character meet & greets there at Camp Minnie Mickey to pass the time. You might even consider taking in Pocahontas and Her Forest Friends first or to kill some time. Check
Steve Soares Site closer to your vacation time for a better idea of the scheduling at that time of the year.

Once you are done there, go back and to check the wait time for KS. If it's more than 30 minutes, do FP. Then, go check out the ToL area. I encourage you to take your time and enjoy all the beauty that is there. It's truly amazing what Disney accomplished in this park.

If you have any time left, I would consider taking your DD over to Dinoland, there are some fun things to do there with little ones.

I hope this helps. Maggie

does your DD love animals? If so, she'd love the safari, if she's brave on bumpy" rides. If she fits, I'd suggest a stroller to hustle her back to the safari area, then wait for the FP by exploring some of the trails.

If it's in a time when rain hits in the afternoon we save FTLK for later in the afternoon because it's "under cover".

I also just have to echo the thoughts for Tarzan

Definetly one of the best shows there :) (personally I like it more than Lion King...)
