We had to postpone our trip to US/IOA until next year--make me feel better.

We were planning on going to the parks August 12 thru the 16th, but something came up and now we have to postpone our trip. :sad1: Now it looks like we will be going in June 2008. I keep telling myself that June won't be quite as hot as August and maybe the Simpson ride will be up by then--do you think?

We had to postpone our trip for a full year. We were planning to go this June, and had to put it off until next year, but I'm not going to fret over it. I would LOVE to be there right now, but planning is fun and yes the Simpson's will be there in June. We will be going in June 2008 also, we haven't made up our minds what time of the month we will go. Historically, we have gone in the first part of June, but when we got to looking at what we miss by going early, we thought the end of June may be better. When we go in early June, we miss Universal 360 and now there is a water ski show at IOA that we would miss also. Another plus for late June is that the parks stay open past dark and we have never gotten to experience any of the rides at night, which I think would be ultimately cool! :thumbsup2

Time flies and they say anticipation is half the fun!!!

(Did that help???)

Like Alison said, the anticipation is fun!! So you have to postpone....that's just a few extra bucks to save toward a more fabulous time! You even get more time to plan and read reviews of the good, the bad and the ugly!

We always go the last week of June, and our second to last nite, the 360 show started and the parks were open till 10 vs. 9....it made riding Jaws at nite most excellent! :thumbsup2

Don't fret....the time will go SO fast, it will be here before you know it!

Yeah, like Bubba's mom said....more spending money!

My next trip is in 19 days, and I can remember when we started planning this trip--11 months ago! I thought it seemed so far away, but the time really did go quickly!

Thats true :)

We had to postpone our WDW/Universal trip to next year too....and it seems so far away but I know how fast time flies so it will be here before we know it. :)

It will come very quickly! Once we pass the 4th of July the rest of the year FLIES by......the only time it may seem long is in the winter time.....days seem to drag here.

Right, more spending money.

If you want to come at a good time, try February. Temps are great and all the rides are working. People get hung up that the parks close early, but it's a ghost town and you can do everything in a few hours.

This has happened to me last year. One recommendation, get the IOA soundtrack available on CD, it kind of puts you there. When you hear those island theme songs, you definitely think you are there, (kinda).

Thanks guys. I'd love to go in Feb, but with a son in 8th grade and two neices in grades 6th and 3, taking a week off in the school year isn't possible. Oh well, you are right, time does fly by quickly!

Don't fret. We are in the same boat. We went in '06 for our first time and loved it. We also can't go this year, but are looking forward to Universal in '08. Due to work and school issues, our vacation time frame is June 15 to August 15. Just think about all the money you will save (to spend in '08) and all the tips you'll pick up on these boards.

Also, GO SIMPSONS!!! My 12 year-old son is looking forward to this ride. He knows the Simpsons much more than he knew Back to the Future!

Looks like alot of us are going in summer of '08.:cool1:
