Who needs Boston?! The family across the street always has relatives come for a visit around the 4th and they always bring fireworks. Last night's display was fantastic.
While I don't think fireworks should be in the hands of those who don't know what they're doing, apparently the person setting them off did. Good grief, he must have spent a fortune! The show lasted about 30 minutes and just about everyone in the neighborhood was outside Oooing and Ahhing.
While that was going on an ever bigger display was taking place down the end of my street. There was color in the sky everywhere!
People driving by were pulling over to stop and watch. I was pretty depressed about the Boston fiasco so this was a really nice surprise. I hope they do another show tonight!
