We got upgraded!!

So last August (a year in advance) we booked our first Land/Sea cruise, staying at the Caribbean Beach, with a GTY category 12 stateroom. I get home from work yesterday and what do I find? A message from DCL asking us if we would be interested in a FREE upgrade to the Dolphin resort!!! No brainer! Of course we were interested! I didn't even realize until I looked it up that the Swan/Dolphin are actually an option for the Land/Sea packages.

I think our upgrade may have had a lot to do with us not having the DDP this trip, since that's not useable at the S/D. Has anyone else gotten an upgrade??

We had the momentary panic about ME when we first got the offer , BUT Swan & Dolphin are resorts that always participate with Land/Sea cruises so while they don't offer regular ME services, they do offer DCL transfers, so no worries there! The only real difference from the official WDW resorts is that we cannot take part in the DDP, which we weren't anyway, and we can't charge back to the room, which we never do. Still get EMH, resort package delivery, etc.

Great News!

A few yrs ago, friends of ours were booked for the cruise and Port Orleans, and got upgraded to the Boardwalk.

Wonderful! Over at the Boardwalk we are doing random upgrades as part of the Year of a Million Dreams. It's so awesome! We've upgraded several honeymoon couples to garden suites and families to concierge level. One actually turned down the upgrade Don't ask for them though.. they pop up randomly and we cannot make one happen!

Congratulations! Last January we were upgrade from Pop to POFQ by our TA due to a mistake that she made. When we got to book in at POFQ we were offered a free upgrade to AKL - wow, we couldn't believe our luck, Paying for a value and ending up at a deluxe We aren't expecting the same when we visit this December.

Congrats! We are doing a land/sea package in October. I am hoping for a stateboard room upgrade, as I am really looking forward to CBR, but a cabin upgrade would be wonderful! We are booked CAT. 11.

Just curious ----DH and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary and completion of one of his "hip replacement" surgeries at Boardwalk with Mickey! What are the chances we might be upgraded to a waterview room?

Being it's the YOAMD I would love to get an upgrade. It probally won't happen but it sure is fun dreaming about it.
