Guess it's time to finish up this dining report... so sad...

...well, I guess it's not so bad... I'll get to start the next one at last! (I have actually gone back twice since this free dining trip!

Biergarten
Lunch
October 3, 2009
My mom and I and the boys had a trip to 'Ohana planned for this night, after dsil and db would have left with baby... ok, really originally, it would've been hubby and me and the boys. Then hubby had to go back to work. My mom cancelled her flight home since I was up and down sickness-wise... so she could trade off driving with me when it was time to leave the next day. We were all in Epcot already, and I had an extra TS credit since I missed Le Cellier... so instead of going to the Poly for dinner with just 4 of us, we decided to have one last hoorah in Epcot... Biergarten was available, and it was a buffet (which dsil likes for baby being able to eat free), so we went for it. (And I cancelled 'Ohana... which was painful! But I hope the new availability made somebody happy!)
I managed to get one picture at the buffet...

Some cold meatballs and sausages... ok, doesn't sound the best, but it's decent.
We sat at farthest from the stage, but let the kids have the best seats...

The entertainment is unique... very German... and is part of the appeal of this dining experience. I also love the fact that you really do feel like you're outdoors at night when you're actually indoors mid-day!
This picture does show Little Guy's apple... that became a major part of his meal here. And it is a red apple... so it didn't appeal to Big Guy.

Big Guy did enjoy the breaded chicken (at least I think it was chicken... maybe it was pork...) ...anyway, you can see half of one of those on the right side of my plate here...

I had a preference for the warmer meatballs... and the pretzel bread (with butter, of course) ...and I ate some varieties of sausages. They're all pretty different. I can't honestly remember having a particular preference or dislike for any of these. Of course, I was still not 100% myself, so it's hard to say if my tastebuds were contributing toward a fair review.
I asked about a sugar-free dessert (because last time I was here I got a fantastic sugar-free cheesecake!) But alas, they said the cheesecake wasn't available at the moment, so they brought me two of those pre-packaged sugar-free brownies (that I know I've seen at CS meals). That was a big let-down for me. Come on, this was a TS meal! Real desserts please! Most other restaurants had a real SF dessert offering!
Anyhoo...
We did enjoy the entertainment... variety of musical instruments used...

And Baby loved the music! He was dancing and bopping in his seat! So cute! Just look at this big smile...

This was to be it for thewhole family (well, minus hubby). So at the end of the meal, we said our good-byes and wished dsil, db, and baby a safe flight home to NY...

Cousin love is cute stuff, isn't it?
As if it wasn't bad enough that our party was left to just four of us at this point... but it was just four of us plus tons of snack and CS credits!

So the boys enjoyed some boy snacks later that afternoon...

Cheetos and apple juice boxes... yum...

My mom and I split a strawberry shortcake (since I was cheated out of a decent dessert earlier)...

Oh, how I love this packed-with-cream cake!

And the only reason why we didn't get separate desserts is that we had very tiny appetites... buffet lunch and one of us still kinda sick...
Later, we all got dinners back at the All-Star food court...
I tried a salad (like dsil had been getting all week)...

But after a single bite, I realized it was not agreeing with me... I was still sick... and couldn't even place what I could eat! What a waste of a meal! I brought it back to the room, but I still couldn't eat it later, so it got trashed...
My mom had a double bacon cheeseburger... and this one was particularly generous with the bacon...

She thought it hit the spot.
Little Guy went with his old stand-by...

And Big Guy went with the pizza...

Both boys were content.
The next morning, we still had enough credits for breakfasts for everyone at the food court... though I didn't get pictures, sorry! We had omelettes... which at the All-Stars, could come with a meat on the side instead of potatoes (not true at the moderate food courts I've tried). And the boys had cereal with milk... of all things!

We also loaded ourselves down with tons of drinks and a few pastries. And we still had a few things in our fridge back in the room.
We stopped for one meal on the way home, which was worth taking a picture of because of the limited Bennigan's around... I indulged in a monte cristo! (Which I really think Disney needs to add to a menu somewhere...) And I got mashed potatoes on the side instead of fries... with a big lump of butter, of course!

After the full-day drive (and an extra night at a hotel because I was too sick to drive and it was too dark for my mom to drive), having had several of our snacks in the car, we still were left with this lovely spread...

Then I arranged a few items for my photography group's assignment: Food!

And that concludes my report... don't know if dsil needs to add to Biergarten... or maybe something delicious that they might have gotten at the airport...

Look for a new dining report from me soon as my mom and I surprised the boys with a just-before-Christmas trip!
