Our TA at DU (thanks, Merrie) got it for us. You can book this tour WAY in advance of 90 days. It sounds like so much fun, and the kids (and me ;) ) are really excited about it. I know they will love helping Captain Hook!

What all does this tour include? Thanks in advance.... :)

It's a 2 hour tour in the MK for families and children. Captain Hook's golden hook has been stolen by Peter Pan. Unless the children follow the clues and find it, CH will take over the MK! It's supposed to be a fun and silly time. It gets great reviews. At the end of the tour a special character meets the kids and takes them on the ride of their choice. The groups are around 20 people or so.

It is from 10am-12pm. Here's a link to Deb's site.

HTH!

We're doing EMH at the MK that morning before our cruise. I'll keep an eye out for you and your family. I believe you will be the family doing crazy things!

Yes, that will be us! The crazy ones! Come say hi if you see us~ I'll try to remember to wear lime green that day!

GRR! I was on the phone with CRO today asking if I can book it for October and they said NO, you have to wait for the 90 day mark! I told her I knew someone (OK, I don't KNOW them but another DISer) booked a tour for Thanksgiving week. The CM put me on hold, then came back and said I had to wait until I was 90 days from arrival. ARRGH! I hate that! Maybe my AAA agent can book it. But the agent I had QUIT so now there is another girl handling our arrangements. Maybe we'll live dangerously and just try to book it when we get there!

Does anyone know what the best age for kids on this tour would be? My kids will be 6 and 4 when we go in Dec. Would the 4 yo be too young? It sounds like a great time!

This happened to us the first time we tried to book a tour for our Christmas trip. We were told the first time we phoned that we had to book at the 90 day window (which I thought was strange as I thought tours could be booked a year in advance). Then I read posts on here that told us people had already booked tours for the time we wanted one. So we phoned WDW-TOUR back and the CM we spoke to then booked us on our tours without any problems (we booked the Segway tour and the Back Stage Magic and got both for the days we wanted.)

Don't count on it being Captain Hook. The CM I talked to said that they have a few different stories. When we did the Family Magic Tour a couple years ago we were searching for a potion or something like that or Maleficent was going to take over the MK. Once we found it Jasmine met us and took us on Peter Pan's ride. We didn't have a choice of rides or stories. We did have a great time and our whole family loved it and want to do it again. My children were DS8, DS5 and DD5 mos., and of course my DH who can be just like the kids.

Have a great time!

I think they'd be thrilled with Maleficent as that is my other DS's FAVORITE! He watches Sleeping Beauty all the time just to see HER. Can you say Fantasmic? LOL!

Anyway, thanks for the tip. I really think the kids will be thrilled with any story/character. They're Disney Fanatics just like their mom! ;) I'll go ahead and tell them that that it could be someone else than Captain Hook just so they won't be disappointed that day.

I'd call back and try a different CM. You can book them now (obviously), so keep trying until you get someone at CRO who really knows what they're doing. You could also ask to speak to guest relations. Use the 800 number, and then you won't be paying for all those long distance calls. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

From everything I've read, it's actually geared towards the YOUNGER kids (they aren't embarassed about doing silly stunts and acts throughout the MK). From people's reports, it seems the best ages are 4-8 or 9. I think your kids would love it!!! It sounds like a really fun morning and you get to meet a character at the end and go on a ride/attraction with them!

We did this Thanksgiving 2003, DS was 11 1/2 and loved it! I wasn't sure though when I booked, but was glad I did. You will have the best time! While you are searcing for the clues, other park guests will look at you...."what the heck are they doing?"...but then at the end of the tour and you are in your PRIVATE character greeting they will look at you like, "Hey, I wanna be with you" and the CM will even tell the other guests, "sorry, this is a private greeting"...boy are you a VIP! At the end of our tour we met Peter Pan and Wendy...had 2 small girls and my DS, so Peter took the girls hands and Wendy grabbed DS's hand and walked over to Peter Pan's Flight where the kids rode with the characters. It was so nice to hear Peter tell other park guests, very politely I must say, when they would ask for an autograph or photo that he was on a special mission, but would be near such and such attraction around whatever tiime...he and Wendy were so focused on the tour group! It was fantastic! And then to see DS riding with Wendy...we affectionately call it his "first date".

You will love the tour! We want to do it again, but would hope for a different character!

THANK YOU!!!

You guys are the best! I didn't realize there was a "TOUR" number. So of course when I called the CM was fabulous, said they book tours for the whole year, and very efficiently booked my tour for October 19 WITH my AAA discount!! Thank you so much for helping me out with this! I love it when things actually work!

I am going to try to keep this a secret from DS. He already knows too much about the trip. A surprise would be good!
