We had our sky + intsalled today and its great :) We have been messing with the buttons all afternoon, recording, pausing :) I'm so glad DH talked me round. We did have NTL but this is great :)

I hope you didn't enjoy leaving the house too much ;)

We love ours :teeth:

I couldn't live without our sky+ :)

Our Sky box is slowly dying and had the engineer of a local firm out to confirm it this week :( So took the plunge and ordered Sky+. Went for the multi room as the box is only £49, free installation and £120 for a years multiroom subscription, much cheaper than the Sky+ upgrade which is £199 for the box and £60 installation. Bonus is got offered another Sky+ box for just £49 :goodvibes So still only £218 compared to £259 and we get 2 nice new boxes :)
Claire ;)

Oh it's lovely isn't it. I don't remember the last time I actually watched a programme at its proper time since we got Sky+!! ;)

I LOVE my sky + !! I honestly think its the best invention since cds!

Hi,
I just got Sky+ free for recomending a friend. Just got it linked to my amp so I can watch some movies in Dolby digital. Good stuff.

Mick.

We wouldn't be without our Sky + now. Although sometimes when Emily (3) has rewound Backyardigans for what seems like the 100th time it doesn't seem like such a good idea!

Excellent news. You won't know what you did before you had it. It must be one of the best inventions ever.

We have never once regretted ours! :goodvibes

I worried that it would lead to increased TV viewing  But the opposite has happened. We can watch the thinks we want, when we want.
I agree with others you will wonder how you managed without it :goodvibes

Sky+ is truly wonderful......when it works....on the whole its a terribly unreliable system, most people I know with is are on at least their 2nd box.

I myself am on my 4th in 2 years, and that also developed problems....I put a bigger hard drive in myself which mended it.

Tron or Anyone who could help.

I wonder if you could answer a question for me ragarding Sky+, can you tell me why, even when I have nothing recorded or set to record in my planner that it is still showing as though I only have 72% free, where did the 28% go, lol.

Sue

Apparently this is a soft wear problem they are working on to improve. We have just upgraded our sky+ to 2 40 hour boxes for £98 including installation. we thought that was really good we can have one upstairs ond the other downstairs. Its about time they gave exsisting customers a good deal.

We've just ordered it for my parents as their Christmas present. They've given us an installation date of Jan 10th :(

Sue,

As has been said the Sky+ planner reporting the wrong disk free % is quite a common problem. It is usually fixed by doing a planner rebuild. :)

You can do this yourself by pressing services,4,0,1,select on the remote, in that order, to bring up the 'hidden' engineering menu. From there you can select option 7 for a planner rebuild which should solve the problem. :)

Alan.
