Girl - you've got to start planning your next trip. I know you are gearing up towards it. Just admit it. all the possible trip scenarios are swirling around in your head.

I think its absolutely awesome that you met a fellow Canadian with so many like interests at Disney and now you are meeting up with them at the party. How great is that? I see it didn't take much arm twisting to get you to agree to go.

Your pictures are loading painfully slow, but i love the ones I can see. The black and white statues are very cool.

I know, it's bad. We talk about it all the time but then we just get sad thinking that we can't go. We need to win a small lottery!

The whole thing was just so ironic. And you're right, it didn't take a whole lot to get us to go!

Another update!? Who am I and what have I done with slacker Wendy?? Truth be told, I am excited to write about the party so I'm kind of zooming up to it. So let's get right to it, shall we?

We had just met up with our friends and were heading to Tomorrowland. What would be our first stop?

Friday, September 21
"Boo to You and You and YOU!"

To Tomorrowland we went. Kylend and Michelle suggested Space Mountain first. Now, Johnny and I are NOT fans of this ride at all and were not planning on riding it this trip, but we decided that we might as well!

The wait time was essentially non-existent. It was a walk on!

Here we go! Blast off!

After I took that picture I looked down at my camera to see if I managed to get a shot. The result?

We all laughed our heads off at this pic. Everyone else on every other screen looks really intense and I just look like I'm checking facebook or something.

Next?

We walked the back way to Fantasyland which was, at that time, only a little bit new.

We wandered around the little bit of new, taking it all in.

We decided to ride the Barnstormer first. Another very short wait (10 minutes) This was a first time for Johnny and I!

We had fun!

Then we headed to Dumbo. Thankfully my Disney friends were of the same opinion as Johnny and I when it came to Dumbo -- Disney is a place to be little kids again!

A little blurry, but you can see that our wait time fairy was still with us. 10 minutes for Dumbo!

I enjoyed the new queue, so pretty. And I thought the kids' play area was a great idea!

SO colourful and bright and beautiful. And the water fountains were so pretty!

We had fun on this too and giggled through the whole thing!

When we got off Dumbo we took our time through the small open portion of New Fantasyland taking what pictures we could.

We spotted lots of people dressed up and ready for the party, but these two were so adorable we had to ask if we could take their picture:

It was too bad about all the construction walls that were up, but it did make me awfully excited about the future of Fantasyland.

It still wasn't very crowded.

We had a destination in mind. Well, Kylend did. He wanted a party exclusive pin and he knew right where to get it. We headed over to Frontierland and waited in the line for the store to open. A CM came out and explained the process. We all went in when they opened, Kylend and Michelled chose their pins and Johnny and I decided to as well. Here's what we got:

After we got our coveted pins, since we were in the area and had lots of time, we headed to the Haunted Mansion!

It was posted as a 15 minute wait, but we chose the interactive queue and played with everything!

We got inside after about 15 or 20 minutes of playing. Soon we were in the stretching room!

I relaxed and enjoyed most of the ride, but I did have to try to get a pic of Leota.

It was getting dark but the Hallowe'en party was just getting started. It was also getting wet. I mentioned to Kylend and Michelle that every time we were with my cousin, Amy it rained. I checked my phone and sure enough I had a text -- Amy was in the park.

We did some Trick or Treating around and it lead us back to Fantasyland so we ducked in for the happiest cruise that ever sailed.

When I was 5 and my parents took me to Disney World, this was our favourite ride. We whistled the tune every single day until finally, 17 years later, we managed to get back. This ride has some serious sentimental value for me.

... which is why I take WAY too many pictures in there.

When we exited the ride it was raining pretty good. I didn't have a poncho (hate the things!) but I was concerned about my camera so I took the bag from my pins and wrapped it around my camera. This means that I don't have many pictures from here out!

We went around collecting literally as much candy as our bags would hold. Kylend was halarious, we would get up to a station and he would ask the CMs to hold up their hands to see who had bigger hands! We had an absolute blast and laughed our way around the Magic Kingdom, getting soaked as we did.

The first parade had been cancelled due to the rain. We were getting very worried at this point and thought we might miss everything. But as we finished our trick or treating, they announced that the fireworks would go off as planned. I messaged Amy and we agreed to meet about an hour before the fireworks in the hub. So that's where we went. I got my tiny travel tripod out of my bag and set it up. We found Amy and her family, introduced Kylend and Michelle and set up for an amazing fireworks display.

I really enjoy taking time out to look around at the details they come up with around the parks. It's always so nice to appreciate the thought that goes into every tiny little thing!

It's so true! I've never ever ever had so much rain at WDW as I did when Amy was there! She was doing some type of subconscious rain dance.
