We got a new dog!!

I'm one of the women who posted on the thread about DH wanting a second dog. Well, yesterday I caved.

We are now the proud owners of a 10-week-old Schnoodle (Schnauzer/Poodle mix) named Biscuit. She is considered salt & pepper, but she is mainly dark grey/blackish.

She joins big sister, Muffin, who is an almost-two-year-old Bichon-a-Poo (Bichon Frise/Poodle). Muffin isn't overly thrilled with the new addition yet, but her reaction could be worse. I'm very hopeful they will grow to be good buddies.

I have a question...do they shed or are the bread with poodle so they don't shed?

I'm sure Muffin will warm up to Biscut...how could she not!!!

They don't shed. That was important for us, as I have allergy issues with many dogs. But I haven't had any problems with Muffin, and after just a day haven't had any problems with Biscuit. I was miserable when I left the pet store, so I was very relieved once we got home and I cleared up.

Thanks everyone! I will let you know once Muffin comes around. Today did get tense once or twice, and right now they are both crashed out, exhausted.

Ooh they are so sweet. I'm sure it is natural for Muffin to be a little jealous. After all, it is a new baby and babies can be annoying to older siblings.

Oh my goodness they are so cute! Makes me want to get another one, but DH said absoultely not! Just adorable, have fun with the new puppy!

Congrats...We also are adding a 2nd dog but we are looking for an older, shelter dog. Have not found the right one yet as we want someone that will get along with my Kallie who is 4.5 and a chi/mix about 13 lbs. We have been all over the past 3 weekends. Best of luck with your new baby

They are both so cute! We've just added a new one to our household and although it's been a bit tough, we are making progress. Our first baby is a 10 month old Mini Doxie (we've had her since she was 4months) and our new one is an almost 2 Mini Doxie.
