We Got a Benie on Our Illuminations Cruise

Last Saturday night. Sorry about it being blurry, boat wouldn't sit still.

Very cool.

DH dragged us out to the Cape two nights earlier. He was in line at TOT and talking to some fellow who was heading over there at park closing. DH thought it sounded like a super idea. We got over there about five minutes before they scrubbed it. So, he was particularly happy to get to see it launch.

We had just finished eating dinner at the Concourse Steak House at the Contemporary. Our waiter brought the charge slip and said "If you need me, I'll be in the bar... the shuttle is going up in two minutes." We followed him and watched from the bar windows. Absolutely awesome!

Yes, it was very cool. It was absolutely amazing how the sky lit up. It was thrilling to hear everyone cheering it on--gave me warm fuzzies. Capped off the vacation very nicely. You guys are nice about the pictures. I was very disappointed with them. My tripod broke, not that it would have been much help on the boat.

We had an Illuminations cruise the same night- I have the same pictures! My husband was thrilled with the once in a life time chance for Mid-westerners to see a shuttle lift off.
