Hi Everyone,

I have not been on the boards since my Disney cruise last April, but I am now planning a trip to Disney World and I need help
again. First I have only been there once about 15 years ago when y kids were young. Now I am taking my three granddaughters ages 2/4/6 and their mom and dad, as well as
dh. We are debating about staying either at the All Star Movie
Resort or the Port New Orleans. We want very much to have all
our dinners scheduled ahead of time and want to know where
everyone suggests we eat. We will only be there 5 days and
we want to pick all our dinner places with the girls in mind(of course, good food would be a help) I also wanted to know if
there is any character breakfast or lunch that includes Winnie the
Pooh. I really need help and I know this is the place to get it.
Thanks
Jan

Port Orleans is a fun resort. As far as restaurants, the Crystal Palace holds Winnie the Pooh character meals. Lots of fun. Love it there for breakfast. Chef Mickeys at the contemporary is also a great character meal for kids. Since they are all girls you may want to get ressies at Cinderella's Castle in MK or the Princess Breakfast in Norway. Hope you all have fun.

It sounds like your grandchildren are the perfect age for character dinning. Since all three are girls you should definately try to book a princess breakfast with either Snow White in Norway Epcot or Cinderella at her castle in the Magic Kingdom.
The breakfast with Cinderella is almost impossible to obtain so check this site for tips on ressies with Cindy. I have found the Snow White Breakfast is becoming increasingly popular.
My daughter went crazy when we had lunch with Winnie the Pooh at the Crystal Palace.
Another restaurant that was good for kids but not a character meal was Teppanyakis in Japan Epcot. The kids are entertained while the chef cooks in front of you.
I would stay away from the Rainforest Cafe. We waited with a 2 year old for over an hour to be seated only to find out that she was afraid of the loud animals. It didn't help that we were sat right next to a family of full size gorillas.
There are so many dining options available. When the kids were young I would try to find a place that had decent food and was also fun for the kids.

Have Fun

Prime Time Cafe might be a good idea for lunch at MGM....especially if GRANDMA puts her elbows on the table or doesn't eat all her veggies.....bet the grandchildren would think it a hoot if grandma had to stand up and sing "I'm a Little Teapot"...are you up for it???....if not have one of their parents do it....too funny!!!!
The Whispering Canyon at the WL might be a thought as well....stick pony rides for the kids....again....grandma should be sure to ask for ketchup......
You have gotten some great suggestions from the others here....you guys are CERTAIN to have an awesome time....:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I know many people think that because the All Star Resorts are Disney's "Value" resorts, they are not a good place to stay. However, I have stayed at All Star Music and very much enjoyed it. I like that they have a food court, whereas, many of the upper resorts do not. Breakfast and lunch are a little more convenient (and less expensive) this way. They are a great way to stay at Disney for a little less money, and you still get to do all the fun stuff too!

I've also heard that All Star Movies is probably the best of the All Stars... at least for kids. Haven't been to Port Orleans yet, but I bet its a great place too.

I would do Chef Mickeys the very first night. Who better to have at dinner than Mickey Mouse himself ! (and Minnie, goofy and donald too !) And make your own sundaes for dessert ! Have a fantastic time with the grandgirls ! oh and you can also have a group photo taken on arrival !
