We've been following Dave Ramsey's plan for budgeting and getting out of debt. We recently met a significant goal of paying off a credit card in February. This card had been as high as $17K plus, now it's GONE!!! What a great feeling. But, once that was done, we went on a bit of a spending frenzy. I think we had been "living like no-one else" for a long time, and consequently, once we didn't have that big payment going out, we spent the money on things that had been long neglected. I don't feel bad about it at all, everything was paid in cash, and all of our bills have been paid on time. But it's time to get back to it. We hashed out a new budget and found that after all bills are paid, and all envelopes are funded, we have about $800 remaining. So that's a big enough "shovel" to get our other debts taken care of. Dave Ramsey's plan is working for us!!!!
