Basically the gist of the article is that there is a plan in the works in Iran for people to have to wear different color strips of ribbon if you live in Iran and are not Muslim.

I'm telling you, the guy in charge of Iran is absolutely NUTS. There will be a war in Iran withing two years, I would bet. I'm not saying that the US will be involved, but something is going to have to happen...... Soon, before this idiot gets too far entrenched.

Edit: A Jew might wear yellow, a Christian might wear red.......

I sincerely hope this is not true. What's next? Moving non-Muslim's into the ghettos "for their own protection"? Hasn't the world been down this path before? :sad1:

That sounds very 'Nazi' to me: During Third Reich Jews had to wear a yellow star, gays a pink triangle, and other minorities had to wear similar symbols. Next step were concentration camps :sad2:

Yep, the story mentions that.

These are the same folks many people think we should entrust nuclear capabilities. Right!

Oh good gracious. We don't need or want another Nazi or Third Reich style regime. The world is definitely a lot more scarier then before.

It's an unconfirmed story. But I agree that their President is whacked.

You know, the Jews had to wear yellow before being shipped to concentration camps, they really need a new color. :rolleyes1

Can anyone say Hitler?

OK, the article says that the Canadian and Australian leaders are upset about UNCONFIRMED reports of this. So, I'll wait and see what the deal is.

But the song "Bomb Iran" is going through my head.

Sounds like Hitler to me. Something needs to be done with this wacko if the story is true.

The Iranian president is a danger to his country and the region. Unfortunately, he seems to feel emboldened due to the chaos in Iraq. One of the most serious consquences of the Iraq blunder is the loss of American military credibility. Despots around the world see America struggling in Iraq and dwindling public support for the war and they are losing their fear of our military.

Nonsense.

The terrorists are the ones struggling in Iraq.

Iraq is NOT a blunder as for once we are NOT cutting and running, despite pleas by many weak-kneed libs and Dems.

Some despots don't fear the US military?? Let them do so at their peril!

Are you saying people like you and others who don't support the war are giving confidence for despots? If you really think so, perhaps you and others should wake up, repent, and support our troops in full -- including the mission of course!.

they should put him on a cuckoo clock when it strikes twelve he should say I'm koo koo I'm koo koo

Are John McCain, Chuck Hagel, Colin Powell, Susan Collins, John Warner, and dozens of other GOP political leaders weak and unpatriotic because they have essentially expressed the same reservations that I expressed in my post? Are the 60% of Americans who believe that the war was a mistake unpatriotic?

Joe, you don't support the troops. You support President Bush. A real patriot questions and holds elected leaders accountable. I am holding the man who, more than two years ago, flew onto a carrier flight deck with media fanfare and declared "Mission Accomplished" accountable. I blame him for the insufficient troop levels and lack of resources that allowed the insurgency to develop in the first place. I am blaming the man who ignored a State Department report that predicted exactly what is taking place in Iraq right now.

I have supported every single US military action in my lifetime except for this Iraq imbroglio. As for cutting and running, forget it. We are in this mess and need to finish what we got ourselves into.

Iran-- their country, their rules. They'll say it's no different than giving illegals biometric cards. We should focus on our own problems.

While I believe in your theory. (somewhat) I have to say that we cannot and will not ever allow a Hitler style regime, nor should we.

Amen!

And imagine if Hitler had had nuclear weapons. :sad2:

I support the troops and spare me the blather about what a "real" patriot is.

The war was not a mistake, although as in EVERY war, some mistakes were made. But, significant progress is being made and the terrorists and those insurgents who support them are losing!

To say Iran is now doing what's it's doing because the actions of the USA and its allies in Iraq is just plain wrong. Iran knows that the UN is emasculated, toothless, and and organizaton of inaction. If the UN couldn't take military action against Iraq after 12 years of resolutions AND accepted bribes from a terrorist supporter, what does Iran have to fear? Countries like the US (and some staunch allies including Israel) are what Iran has to fear.

It's the UN world inaction, not USA action, that makes Iran bold.

When will the world get a true backbone and unite against despots? Remember how many countries cheered Robert Mugbe at the UN? And how many celebs, like Barbara Walters, cheer Castro?

We are war with terrorists whether we fight back or not. Thankfully, our President, and our brave troops and allies, and the Iraqi people, have chosen to fight.

However, there are very few allies left in Iraq Joe. Face it, this Iraqi war is only being supported mostly by the blind Bush followers and very few others.

That aside, the U.S. should tread carefully around Iran. If our country continues to invade one middle eastern country after another, we won't be doing ourselves any favors. I think that the other middle eastern nations should deal with the situation in Iran since they will be the most affected.
