Unfortunately, we don't have any kids, and I always feel self-conscious when we visit Disney World. Even though I know there are other couples who don't have kids, I always feel like I'm too old to be there

Anyway, enough about that ::yes::

Are there many couples-only that cruise Disney?

Hi! You will have a wonderful time! Peter and I don't have kids and we have cruised Disney 6 times, and we have always had a great time! You are never to old to enjoy the magic of Disney!!

DH and I have no children yet, but we still have a great time at WDW and this Saturday, on our first DCL. Disney isn't just for kids, its for the kid inside of everyone!

WOW!!!!
I'm still smiling!!!
My wife and I went on the 4 night cruise last June.
Without the kids!!!
It was great!!!
We had a fantastic time.....of course SHE missed the kids! NOT ME, it was just wine, and dine, and my bride of 24 years!!!
Ok, Ok, I missed the kids. ( i have to say that or she'll be mad at me)

WHAT HAPPENS ON DCL STAYS ON DCL!!!!

It was almost better than Vegas!

My wife and I are on the Magic 7-day western as I type... Our kid is all grown up, so it's just the two of us and we're having a great time! (We just left Grand Cayman and as we looked at the others from the other cruise ships, we couldn't help but be thankful for the kids on this cruise!)

PS - My test is... Do you enjoy going to Disney World etc as a couple without children? If you do, you'll have a great time!

PS2 - We love the kids, but we also love the adult pool, Sessions the adult piano bar, and Cove Cafe - a cool bar/lounge/place to read/place to be online!!!

Enjoy your cruise!

:earsboy: :earsgirl:

Well put TarraLee - and may the kid in me NEVER GROW UP. Kim&Chris - we have cruised 3 times and the first was without the boys (age range 14 - 22). We are cruising again alone to celebrate DH's 50th birthday in September.

Wife and I don't have kids and love it. You won't feel odd at the adults only pool, shows, clubs or Serinity Bay! Enjoy

My first dcl cruise was the land/sea package in Aug 1998 for my honeymoon. Dh had never been to wdw . We loved disney without kids and loved the cruise. We did a variety of things on the cruise some adults only and some family events which we never felt out of place. Our next cruise will be with both kids but honestly I wouldn't hesitate to cruise disney again if we didn't have kids. The only thing we found a little strange was our dining arrangements. We were seated with a single mother and her teenage son plus a mother, grandfather and 2 young children. We like kids so it never bothered us and the two little kids usually ate and left. The teenager was traveling with his mother who had a terminal illness and was doing the trip as a last major thing with him. She was too tired to do anything after the show so twice we invited the son to join us at family events which the mother greatly appreciated (he didn't want to do much away from his mother so never did the teens program). I guess it could have bothered us to sit with kids on our honeymoon and we could have asked for a new table but we enjoyed our tablemates and never gave it a thought.

My Nana eats chocolate mickey ice cream bars for breakfast....
I have to avoid elevators on the cruise because of all the wonderful food
We are cruising May 8-15 and 15-22 with My Nana, my mom and myself....

YOU WILL HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME!!!!
(Of course you're going with children... the kid in you never grows up when you're at WDW or DCL!)

We just got back from our WONDERful cruise and it was JUST US!!! I did miss my DD but we had such a wonderfly romantic time that it was worth the little tinge of pain when I saw kids her own age having fun. There are grown up vacations and family vacations but with DCL they make it great for either. Definately don't forget a couple's message and dining at Palos. People asked me if it was just overrun with kids and I really didn't notice it that much. You get into what you are doing that you don't have time to notice that you don't have any one slowing you down.

Enjoy and relax!

I'm the childless crazy person who has sailed on Disney 36 times, with number 37 next month. I have never, ever felt out of place. As a matter of fact, I feel more comfortable on Disney than Royal Caribbean because Disney actually enforces the adults only areas. On RCCL, "adults only" was a joke. On Voyager of the Seas, they had a huge whirlpool in the spa, which is supposed to be an adults only area, and the kids were running from that onto the exercise equipment soaking wet. I was waiting for someone to get electrocuted.
Of course, I get a kick out of being around the kids, too. If you feel uncomfortable at WDW, you may want to stick to the adult areas. But if you like watching the kids interact with the characters and just generally react with awe, you'll enjoy the other areas of the ship, too.
You might want to check out the trip reports on my website for more details, including some of the adult activities. The 70s Party, Match Your Mate, and Wonderquest are the best!

Cindy and I just got off the Wonder last week. Our children are 17+29 and didn't go. We had a great time.

We ate at Palo's.......hung out at the adult pool...........Serenity Bay at CC.......enjoyed our verandah, etc.

I didn't even notice there were kids on the ship.

P.S. we re-booked for next Feb again.......this time our 17 yr old DD wants to go.::yes::

No one is ever too old for Disney!!! I just went on my first ever cruise with my 25 year old daugher and we had a blast. I've never felt out of place at WDW either... I love it there, I'd live there if I could figure out a way!!

Go and have fun, relax and enjoy yourselves.:wave2:

You will have a great time.
My sister and I are not-so-young-anymore kids!
We have a fantastic time on the ship, and we visit WDW alone, or with our Mom, and we all have a rgeat time there too! The kids are cute as all get-out, but it's great to know they are someone else's when they get cranky!::yes::

DO IT!!!! BEFORE YOU HAVE KIDS--IF YOU ARE!! Okay--now that I got that off my chest.............My DH and I went on a 4 day first and rebooked for 6 months later for a 7 day. We had no kids and I had the time of my life--didn't want it to end. So we rebooked for another 7 day for the following year. Then I got pregnant (yay!) and we postponed it till she was 7 months old (It was a planned fam. reunion cruise). While I still enjoyed myself--I didn't utilize the nursery so needless to say it was different. No adult pool time, spa time, etc. Instead I did a lot of character meetings!! She has gorgeous pics. w/ every princess!! My point is--there is still so much for adults and you'll love it! It may even act as your form of birth control if you see a bunch of obnoxious kids....just kidding--it's awesome to see all the kids excitement! I wouldn't choose any other cruise line now....but I also have an annual pass to WDW so I am a little biased!!

You are talking to the person who Belle waved to from across the atrium and couldn't wait to tell everybody! Even for this 29-year-old, the characters are REAL!

We do not have kids yet, DH had been to WDW 4 times (including our 4/18/04 trip) , me twice (incld. 4/18), and on DCL 4 times (including 12/27/04 trip). I am just a big kid...that has a paying job!

My wife and I, who are in that married no kids category, enjoyed a 7 night cruise. We were in the late seating for dinner and were seated with another mnk couple.
Overall it was well set up for adults with the adult pool and night club deck. We went during a Halloween cruise and enjoyed seeing all of the children dressed up.
One of the nicest parts of this cruise is the set up with a deck just for kids and one just for adults. Activities are a mix of children and adults, but they have activities for adults as well.
Enjoy the cruise, we certainly did and are looking to book one, again for Spring 2005.:earsboy:

We don't have kids either (we're 28 & 31) and we've been cruising with Disney since 2001. We're going on our 4th Disney Cruise next March!

It's awesome!

Wow, thanks for the posts! Sounds like we won't feel out-of-place at all :sunny:

I'm SO excited about this cruise :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
